Wow! Where did the summer
go? It seems like we were just preparing to open the pool and get
ready for Memorial Day, and just
like that, it’s just some beautiful
memories. The functions have
been great and the attendance has
been fabulous.
Speaking of the pool, it is
officially closed for the season. We
kept it open as long as we possibly
could. A big thank you to Joe Trombino for keeping a very close eye
on the pool all summer long. I
heard a lot of positive compliments
about it. Also thanks to Glenn and
Kristin Foberg and their swimming
pool committee for all of their
efforts and time—it really was a
beautiful summer.
On September 27th we held
the Commodore’s Ball and what a
ball it was. Our co-chairs, Tony &
Cheryl Spino with their committee
put together a fantastic evening.
Thank you. The dinner was absolutely delicious and the entertainment provided by the “Dead Blues
Society” kept the majority on the
dance floor until the very end. A
great night and some very fond
memories.
On October 4th Linda Logan
chaired the “Beverly Hills White
Party”. What a great theme with
everyone dressed in white. Great
job! Our dinner, catered by Mike
“Lippy” Lipowski, was delicious and
Stella Tunes kept everyone dancing
until night’s end. Thank you very
much, it was a great evening.
For those members who have
not had the opportunity to join us
at any of our events, I urge you to
try and stop by. We have a very
energetic group of individuals that
have been providing us with some
fabulous entertainment. You owe
it to yourselves to come down and
enjoy YOUR club. If you have
friends that aren’t members,
please invite them to join you at
your club. All you have to do is sign
them into our guest book located
on the podium in the lounge, and
then enjoy!
BY the time you are reading
this article, we will have enjoyed
another new event for this year,
the “70’s Night Dance Party”
co-chaired by Tony and Denise
Pellegrino. I’ll fill you in on the
details in next month’s edition.
Remember Sunday, November 16th, which is Election Sunday.
The polls open at 12 noon. We
have several great candidates so
please come to the club and vote
for your choice. Thank you in advance.
