We believe this is the man to lead us into our future as we continue to build a strong Sunday School and lead our members to be disciple makers. I hope you will make every effort to be present Sunday to hear James’ testimony, for the Q & A time and to hear the Committee share detailed information about James and why we believe he is God’s man for this position in the business meeting. Join me as we pray about this decision. Let me take this opportunity to say thank you to John Johnston our Associate Pastor, who has ben wearing two hats for over two years. He has managed our education and administration ministries during this interim period. He will soon be giving his full attention to being our Serve Pastor. Please let him know of your appreciation for his faithful service. Travis From the Associate Pastor A Sunday School class for Newlyweds will begin next Sunday, November 16, at 9:30 a.m. Tom and Beverly Malone will teach this class which will meet on the second floor in room 225. The class is open to both engaged couples as well as those who are recently married. Our “Something Special” class is in need of a teacher. After many faithful years of service, Carol Anderson has retired from teaching our special education Sunday School class for adults. We are seeking someone to lead the class of about six to eight adults which meets at 8:15 a.m. in the Fellowship Hall. This person needs to be an active member of First Baptist Church with a compassionate heart and patient spirit. A background in special education is not required. If you feel that God may be leading you to serve this group, please contact me at 365-0606. While an individual could teach the class, this is a great opportunity for a couple. A new Grief Support Group is now meeting on Sunday evenings at 5:00 p.m. in room 101. Claude and Debbie Thompson serve as facilitators.
