Our Ministers to the Sick bring the Eucharist to
the homebound and those in care facilities who
are not able to come to Mass. If you or a relative would like the Eucharist brought to your
home or nursing home, please call our Ministry
to the Sick Coordinator, Mary Wresh 748-3639.
If you would like to serve the Lord by bringing
Him to our homebound parishioners, please call
Mary Wresh at 748-3639. Our Ministers to the
Sick attend special training so they are confidently prepared and can focus on the Eucharist
and our parishioner during their visit.

When you or a loved one is in the hospital,
please inform the staff at registration or later
that you are Catholic and would like to be on
the Catholic list so Chaplains and Ministers to
the Sick know you are there and can visit you.

Ministers to the Sick carry out the
healing work of Christ by offering
prayer, compassion, and a listening presence to the sick or those
who are unable to attend the community liturgy. Most importantly,
Ministers to the Sick are called to
the important work of bringing the
church community and Eucharist
to those who are ill or cannot attend the celebration of
Mass.
The Office of Family Life & Pastoral Care, which is
supported through your generous gifts to Our Catholic
Appeal, coordinates this ministry and provides initial
certification training as well as continuing education
programs.

Please remember that our parish goal is $336,601. The
pledged amount to date is $287,062 which is 85.3% of
our goal, with 1,220 (50.4%) families participating.
Please consider contributing. Once we have achieved
our goal, the majority of additional funds will be returned
to our parish to support our own local needs. This year, we
will commit our parish over-goal dollars to the building
fund.
Donations received in the second collection, “Building
Fund” are used to support the new church and furnishings, the expansion as well as the future building needs
and renovations for our parish including but not limited
to updating the infrastructure of the existing church and
parking.

“SYMBOLON:” Session 9 - “MARY AND THE

Catholics Returning Home Program offer s an
opportunity for those who have been away from
the Church to renew their Catholic Faith and
learn how the Church has changed over the years.
The 6 session program begins today at 2:003:30pm in the Social Hall. The pr ogr am continues on Sunday afternoons Nov. 23 & 30 and Dec. 7, 14 & 21.
All sessions will be on Sunday afternoons from 2:00 to 3:30pm
in the social hall. It offers an opportunity for those who have
been away from the Church to renew their Catholic Faith. For more

Children’s Christmas Tree
The children and youth of our Faith Formation Program sponsor a “Children’s Tree”
which will be in the narthex during Advent.
The purpose is to encourage our parish families to make donations to help the less fortunate. It will be decorated with ornaments
made by each class and it will serve as a place of special
collections each weekend of Advent. Please mark your
calendars and join with our Faith Formation Families in
reaching out to others.

K of C 4th Degree Pancake Breakfast
The 4th Degree Knights of Columbus,
Assembly 2722 will be holding a Pancake Breakfast from 7-10am at Tierra
Del Sol CC on Saturday Dec. 20, to support both USA CARES (which provides support to military families in need) and other local charities. Tickets
are $7. Knights will be selling tickets outside the Parish

Why does the Choir face the Altar during Mass? - The member s of the Choir ar e also attending Mass and
should respect the Eucharist during Mass.
Could the Statues be placed on a higher platform to be seen more clearly? - Votive stands ar e being hand
made. Once they are complete and in place, we will re-evaluate the height of the statues.
Why are the bulletins handed out after Mass? - Befor e and dur ing Mass is a time for r eflection and pr ayer .
Where do we put the Food Pantry Contributions? - Please place your food pantr y contr ibutions in the new
wood bins, with crosses on the lid, at the back of the Narthex.
Where is the Library? - The Libr ar y is in the par ish social hall in the for mer Sacr isty. Libr ar y books can be
returned there.
Where is the free book box? - The free book box is in the Narthex in the shelf by the main church entrance.
Why are seating sections blocked off? - Pew sections ar e blocked off to assist in the distr ibution of the Eucharist in a reverent and organized manner.
Where is the Poor Box? - The poor box is in the Nar thex inside the stone column. It is the wood encasement
that has an opening for donations.
Where is the Lost & Found? - Dur ing the week please call the chur ch office to inquir e about the Lost &
Found. On the weekends it is in the vesting sacristy. Please ask an Usher for assistance.

The CCW Fashion Show and Luncheon

Recreation Center. Tickets are $25 and

The Knights of Columbus Council

"Keep Christ in Christmas” card orders may be picked
up during/after all masses this weekend. Also, white
“Keep Christ in Christmas” magnets and Gift Basket
raffle tickets will be on sale. The raffle drawing will
take place after the 12pm mass on Sunday. You need
not be present to win but you do need a ticket! All will
take place under the portico of the old church. All activities support Knights of Columbus Charities.

OUTREACH AND FOOD PANTRY
If you would like to join the Outreach ministry or the
Food Panty ministry, please call Sheila at 430-3761 for
information and training.
With many charities asking you for donations prior to
the holidays, your support and contributions are appreciated by the volunteers and clients of our ministry. Clients are grateful for distributed food from the
pantry and when necessary, funds to help pay an overdue living or medical expense. Your donations and purchases to Our Mother's Attic help the ministry function
when dealing with our unfortunate neighbors in
need. Thank you for your continued support.
Many parishioners travel to be with families for the
holidays and we wish them safe journeys. Please remember to bring in food prior to your departure for our
unfortunate neighbors. Our volunteers plan on opening
the food pantry the Monday before Thanksgiving, in
order that food for the American Holiday and weekend
will be distributed. Children will be home from school
and families need extra food to feed them. Also, some
households don't have the resources to cook an elaborate feast.
Requested items for November include but are not limited to the following: cornbread, pancake, and stuffing
mixes; canned vegetables including sweet potatoes;
canned fruit including cranberry sauce; canned
meat including chicken, chili, beef stew, and sausages; instant potato mixes; soup and crackers; cereal;
cookie and cake mixes; and canned pasta. Please
remember that out of date and opened packages cannot
be distributed.
The office and pantry are located at San Pedro Maldonado Mission Church in downtown Wildwood and food
is distributed the second and fourth Friday of the
month. The holidays are a perfect time for your neighborhood to collect food for the pantry. Non perishable
food can be brought to the pantry at San Pedro during
the Outreach office hours, Monday, Tuesday, and
Thursday. Call the office first at 689-0129 prior to delivery.
Pope Francis wants us to
focus more on God and humanity and less on materialism. He wants us to focus
on the poor. Locally, our
Outreach, Lazarus Clinic, and
food pantry provide services
for the disadvantaged.
Together, we are making a
difference in Wildwood.

Christmas at Belleview City, Saturday, Dec. 6 from 9 a.m.
to 2 p.m. Last year we had 338 children who saw Santa
and receive gifts. We will be working with St. Mary’s
Episcopal, the Spanish Church El Faro, and St. Marks’
Greek Orthodox Church and are asking for donations of
wrapped coloring books & crayons, soft toys, and bears. If
