EMERGENCY PLAN
This weekend’s doesn’t sound like the weather will be very pleasant,
which makes me wonder what is around the corner. Please review
your emergency plan with your child in case of an early dismissal
due to weather. If you returned the proper information to receive
texts, you will be notified. If you do not receive the text, most likely
you did not give me your carrier.
SCIENCE BOWL
4th, 5th, and 6th graders who are interested in participating
in Science Bowl are invited to the first Science Bowl
practice on November 19 in the library from 3-4
pm. Information about the competition and practices will
be distributed then. Competition participants will be chosen on the basis of participation in practices. We will be
doing experiments, reviewing articles, and playing
games. This will be fun and beneficial for all, even if they
do not compete! All future scientists are welcome!

It has been quite a while since our school participated in a schoolwide Veteran’s Day program. Thanks to Mrs. Hammond we had a
very nice one on Tuesday. I want to also thank the military participants – Mr. Cox, Mr. Campbell, Mr. Sizemore, Mr. Farling, Mr. Timberlake, Mr. McLane, Mr. Elias, and Mr. Farris for helping us put
faces to why we profess our allegiance to the flag every morning.
We hope to build on the event in the years to come.
