The transition to the new sports shirt will take place over the 1st Semester in 2015. During this time, students will be able to wear the current sublimated polo shirts as well as the new shirt. From Semester 2, 2015 only the new shirt will form the College’s sports uniform for both Primary and Secondary students. The new sports shirts will be available for purchase at the beginning of next year. If you have any queries concerning the purchase of the new shirts please don’t hesitate to come and see us. If anyone is interested in learning drums next year please see Mrs Forward for an information pack. New Instrumental students have been issued with a Contract this week. Please return it as soon as possible to secure your spot. All rental instruments are now due back. Please return your rental instrument to the music department this week. CCC Library End-of-year Library returns All Library items (textbooks, novels, etc) on loan to students are due back to the Library before they finish school for the year. Yr 11 & 12’s have received a list of items they need to return by Monday 17th November. Items not returned by this date will be invoiced. Yr 10’s have received a list of items they need to return by Friday 21st November. Items not returned by this date will be invoiced. Yr 7, 8 & 9’s have received a list of items they need to return by Friday 28th November. Items not returned by this date will be invoiced. 1 News from ILC Community Notices School Based Traineeship Certificate III Business Information shared here is a means of communication with the College community. Publication does not mean College endorsement. Gympie West Store & Service Station is looking at taking on a School Based Trainee in Cert III Business which will be delivered by First Impressions Resources Training so it has the retail slant and food safety but with the benefit of 8 QCE points. Preference is for a student going into Year 10 or 11 in 2015. USC Gympie Evening Students must also be available to work some weekends and school holidays, plus the usual impact on the school time table. This is a great opportunity for an enthusiastic student to gain a meaningful qualification whilst still at school. This traineeship will take two years to complete. If you would like more information on how a traineeship works or would like to apply, please see Mrs Dowell in the ILC. Looking for a part-time job? The Gympie Regional Council has three vacancies to suit students 15 years of age or more while completing years 10, 11 or 12 to fulfil the duties of Library Assistant - Operations on a casual basis. There are two vacancies in the Gympie library and one in the Tin Can Bay library. Successful candidates will be required to work after school, on Saturday's and school holidays on a rostered basis.
