Please pray for our Pastor as he goes on a pilgrimage to the Holy Land. NEW YEAR’S Eve Dance – Zabava! The annual New Year’s Eve dance sponsored by our parish will take place on Wednesday, December 31, 2014 at 8:00 PM. Music will be provided by the band, ‘OBEREHY.’ Tickets for adults are $80.00 in advance, $90.00 after December 25. Tickets for children ages 5 to 12 are $40 in advance and $45 after December 25. There will be a TV raffled off as a door prize (using your ticket stubs). Menu will include the following, Main Course: Stuffed Salmon, French Style Pork, Roasted Chicken, Chicken with Barbeque Sauce, Chicken Loaf, Meatloaf, Kapusta, Stuffed Cabbage, Pyohy, Cheese Blintzes, Puffs with Meat. Also – Roasted Potatoes, Mushroom Gravy and Borsht. European Salads: Salad Olivier, Cold Feet (Studynets), Shuba, Carrot Salad with Raisins, and Pickled Cucumbers and Tomatoes. On Sunday, December 7, 2014, Saint Nicholas will visit our church following the 9:00 AM Liturgy and following the 11:30 AM Liturgy. ONLY CHILDREN OF PARISHIONERS, age 16 and under, who attend our church on regular basis will receive a FREE gift from St. Nicholas. Parents, please sign up the names of your children on the form at the back of the church or call Charlie Boyko at 732-254-3966, no later than Nov. 30, so that St. Nicholas can prepare his list. Family Bowling On Sunday, November 30, 2014, the Holy Name Society will sponsor Family Bowling at Majestic Lanes in Hopelawn, NJ at 1:00 PM. The cost of $20 includes two hours of bowling. New Jersey Devils Hockey Ukrainian Heritage Night: The Devils will face off against the Washington Capitals on Saturday, December 6, 2014 – 7:00 PM at the Prudential Center, 25 Lafayette Street/Newark, NJ. Come, join us, and represent our parish. The Holy Name Society has reserved a section of seats off center ice. The cost per person is $40.00. Wear your Ukrainian embroidered shirts and hats. If Film Presentation on the Life of Taras Shevchenko On the occasion of the 200th Anniversary of the life of Taras Shevchenko, all are welcome to view the film “Taras Shevchenko” (created in 1926; directed by Petro Chardynin) at the Library of the Ukrainian Educational and Cultural Center on Sunday November 16, 2014 at 2:00 pm. This is the first movie ever based on Shevchenko’s biography, in which Ambrose Buchma plays the main role. The Ukrainian Educational and Cultural Center is located at 700 Cedar Road, Jenkintown, PA 19046.
