SIGURDSON, Vice-Principal J. ZOPPA, Vice-Principal November 2014 Dear Parent/Guardian: Our first Student/Parent/Teacher Conferences of the year will be taking place on Thursday, November 20, 2014. Ten-minute sessions will be available from 1:30-3:30 pm, and from 5:30-8:30 pm. We look forward to engaging in conversations with you as we work together to plan for your child’s success. Please be aware that River East Collegiate will be using a new web-based system for booking conference appointments this year. The system should be extremely convenient for parents and quite easy to use. You will need to create a parent account to use Conference Manager. However, you only need to register once and you can use your login (email and password) to book appointments for future conferences. With this online booking system, you can easily book appointments from home without having to contact the school or send a note with your child. You will receive a confirmation email of your appointment times at the email address that you provide. You can also log in to change the appointment time online or make a cancellation if a conflict arises. Again, you will receive email confirmation of any changes you make to your appointment times. Please be sure to add [email protected] to your address book in order to receive confirmation emails. All you need to use this online booking system is an email address and access to the internet. Details on how to book your appointment are noted below. The system will be active to book appointments from November 14 to 19 for this round of conferences. This is a very simple process that takes only a moment: 1) Go on to the internet and search: https://retsd.schoolsoft.com 2) Click on the “Register Now” button. 3) Complete the registration form. 4) Submit then you must LOGIN on the home screen. 5) Choose the appropriate school from the drop down menu. 6) Select the appropriate conference session. 7) Choose the teachers you would like to meet with. **Please note that Ms. Bourbonniere, Mr. Clark, and Ms. Doyle are away at a conference on this date and will need to arrange appointments on an alternate day. 8) Choose a suitable meeting time. 9) Click exit to log out. You can log back in at any time to view your bookings, print the schedule, cancel or reschedule appointments. If you do not have internet/email access, you are welcome to contact the school office to book appointment times with your child’s teachers.
