AUSTRALIAN STOCK HORSE SOCIETY NORTHERN BRANCH 2014 SHOW, CAMPDRAFT, FUTURITIES, MATURITY, OPEN & YOUTH CHALLENGES AND YOUTH EVENTS 21st, 22nd and 23rd November 2014 Gunnedah Show Ground Friday 1.00 pm start: Novice Campdraft (Entries close 7th November 2014 with Show Secretary. (Campdraft Entry Form attached). Saturday 8.00 am start: All Led classes, Hack, Working, Station Horse Classes, Supreme Ridden ASH. Sunday 8.00 am start: Youth classes, 2 and 3 Year Old Futurities, 4 Year Old Maturity, Open Challenge and Youth Challenges. All competitors to complete Entry Form and bring to show office before start of the show. Competitors to record their PIC number on Entry Form. Ring tickets $5 per class. Ring classes prize money – 1st $10, 2nd $5. Stabling $10 per night. Only stallions or colts to be placed in Stallion Boxes (Stallion Boxes to be booked through Show Secretary). Powered camping $20 per night. Ample power available. Canteen available both days. Temporary membership is available at $40.00 for adults (18 years & over) and $15.00 for Youth (8 years and under 18 years) for the duration of the show from the show office and a waiver for the membership needs to be signed. Only members holding full, participant, youth or temporary membership to the Australian Stock Horse Society may participate in the events held at our show. You will not be permitted entry to the competition areas without a wristband. Refunds for scratched horses requested after the start of the show will only be considered if made in writing and accompanied by a Doctor’s Certificate or a Vet certificate. If request is successful, 20% of total entries will be kept by the Northern Branch to cover administration fees. All people entering the grounds, competitors and handlers do so at their own risk. Neither the organising committee nor the Australian Stock Horse Society Limited accept any liability for any accidents, damage, injury or illness to horses, riders, spectators or any person or property whatsoever. Rude and bullying behaviour will not be tolerated. Anyone found to be behaving rudely or bullying any official, judge, steward, competitor, helper or spectator will be asked to leave the grounds immediately and will forfeit any entry money for competitions not yet undertaken. Under no circumstances is a parent of a child to enter the ring to address the Judge other than if there is an accident involving their child. All enquiries are to be made through the Ring Master only. All horses must be adult registered ASH except those ridden by youth members under the age of 13 years in youth classes only. Registration papers must be available to inspect on request and the Committee may inspect horses to check registration. The Committee has the right to change, delete, defer or alter the program prior to the show or on the day and classes may be moved to other rings at the discretion of the show committee. ASHS recommended dress rules apply. Stallions and Colts two years and older must be shown with a bit and the bit must be in contact with the handler/rider at all times. They also must be double tied (ie secured with a neck strap and halter) when tied up. Colts and Stallions are not permitted to be handled or exhibited by any members under 18 years of age. The wearing of helmets is recommended for all those competing in ridden classes. Competitors under 18 years of age must wear a helmet that complies with AS/NZS 3838 or equivalent at all times whilst handling or riding a horse. Junior judging optional. Riders with multiple entries must provide adequate handlers to avoid delays in the program. All complaints or protests must be made in writing to the Show Secretary within 30 minutes of the incident occurring and must be accompanied by a $50.00 fee. This fee will not be refunded if the complaint is found to be frivolous. All complaints or protests will be handled by the Disputes Committee. The decision of the Disputes Committee will be final and binding on all competitors. The Amateur RIDER Award in all Challenges is open to persons who have not won or placed in an Open Challenge, ridden Futurity or Maturity or Youth Challenge at State, National, or Royal level. Riders eligible for this award are required to nominate on the entry form. To be eligible for classes or awards for Northern Branch Members the person, Youth or Senior, must be a financial member of the Branch prior to commencement of the Show. In all Challenges and Futurities competitors must compete in ALL sections to be eligible for prizes.
