Rummage Sale: Thank You!!
To donators, set-up crew, sellers, and most of all, clean-up people THANK YOU for a successful Rummage
and Fabric Sale. We made a combined $1,378 at the sale! Plus, many of us got new wardrobes and a little
Christmas shopping to boot!
Gift Card Fund Raiser: First Parish Artists
During the coffee hour there will be a table set up for the sale of Holiday and other types of gift cards in the parlor.
These cards are the artwork of Bob Lown, Dennis Andersen and Ann Livermore, who are donating their works
to go towards helping to eliminate the deficit in this year’s budget.
Thank you all, for taking participation in this event, Ann Livermore
Looking for a Painting Party??
Thanks to a determined leasing team, we have finally rented out the east front office. So now we need
volunteers to help paint the office before the new tenant moves in on Dec 1st! It’s not a big project, can be done
in one day. Please contact Barbara Conner 229-0799 if you are interested. Thanks

The Shared Pulpit! – Save the Date
Do you have something inside you that you yearn to share with others?
Are you, or have you ever thought about becoming a Worship Associate?
Do you want to support your congregation in their spiritual development?
We will be together 6 times over 6 months to explore our own spiritual process and learn how to more
confidently share it.
This workshop is based on Erika Hewitt's book, entitled, The Shared Pulpit. The introduction to Erika Hewitt's
book reads, in part, "Using a series of small group meetings, this program aims to deepen connection and
trust...it contains advice, tools and a process designed to equip you to be even more skilled, confident leaders
(because anyone brave and curious enough to share their journey publicly with their congregation is, in fact, a
leader). Along the way, you'll discover your authentic voice by writing a sermon to deliver to the congregation."
This workshop will be co-facilitated by Rev. Sue Gabrielson and Rev. Lara Campbell.
Interested members and friends of the tri-churches (Saco/Biddeford, Kennebunk and Sanford) will meet from
6:00pm to 9:00pm together on the first Thursday of the month beginning in January and running through June.

Seeing ME: Profiles of Resilience
Our Music Director, Rev. Charlie, is part of a display in Portland called Seeing ME: Profiles of Resilience. It
consists of photos and stories of people surviving the HIV/AIDS crisis in Maine. It is the hope of the Peabody
Center that people leave the exhibit with a new perspective and an informed outlook on how we can address the
issue of HIV/AIDS as a unified community. The display is open to the public on:
Monday, December 1st, 6-8pm: World AIDS Day Reception
Friday, December 5th, 5-8pm: First Friday ArtWalk
It is on display at the Salt Institute, located at 561 Congress St. in Portland.

Funding Opportunities!
ClynK Bottle Redemption
What is that sound you hear early Sunday mornings in the back hall? And ever wonder why you see members
carrying wine bottles around?
FPUU not only recycles, but we turn in "Maine labeled" bottles and cans for money.
We have a Clynk deposit barrel in the kitchen. If you have more than you can carry, take home your very own
green bag which you can find in the bottom drawer of the file cabinet, just outside the kitchen.
Here is the Clynk website for more information: https://www.clynk.com
Youths Available for Childcare during Church Events
Benefit of our CLYNK Program
Childcare is available upon request for all Church sponsored meetings, and events taking place at the Church.
(A parent or guardian must remain in the building at all times.) There is no charge to participants for this care. It
is the responsibility of the sponsoring committee to secure childcare and it must be requested at least 1 week
prior to the scheduled event. As our church has a policy of always having two caregivers in with children,
TWO youths need to be lined up for coverage. Please contact Barbara Boscia at the Church Office for contact
names and numbers for childcare coverage.
Do you shop at Hannaford?
One of our biggest, easiest fundraisers is right at your fingertips, with no cost to you!
Who?
What?
Why?
How?
YOU!
A Hannaford card you use to prepay for groceries, through First Parish, then use it like a debit
card when you shop.
For every dollar you spend at Hannaford, they will give us 5% back.
Register for a refillable Hannaford card most Sundays, with Gwen Vesenka, at the Welcome
Table. She will take checks for under $500. Refill your card any week, by dropping off a check
in the slot of the office door.
How again and when?
1- Each week before Thursday
2- Write a check to FPUU Kennebunk and write the last 4 digits of your Hannaford card in the
memo area.
3- Place in an envelope labeled "Hannaford"
4- Put it in the cute little silver slot on the office door.
5- Voila! On Friday, your money will be transferred to the card.
Gwen Vesenka sends out nice emails reminding us each week of collection and transfer of the money.
