On behalf of the Nordic Billard Council, Den Danske Billard Union, Svenska Biljardförbundet,
Suomen Biljardiliitto ry, and Det Norske Biljardforbund, hereby invite players from the abovementioned
federations to take part in The Nordic 3-Cushion Championship 2016.
Participants maximum 32 to be distributed as follows:

Latest date of registration is on the 7th of September to your national federation.
The groups will be published on the 29th of September at the latest.
Participants fee is DKK 700, and with a total of 32 players the total prize money will be DKK 22.400 split as
follows for the best 8 players:

The format of the tournament is as follows:
8 groups with 4 players in each group – the 8 best players will be seeded according to average.
The remaining 24 players will be placed in the 8 groups based on a draw.
The players will act as referees in their own matches in the group play. Distance in the preliminary groups is
30 points – equal innings – maximum 40 innings.
Number 1 and 2 in each group is qualified for the knock out final.
In the knock out phase the 8 group winners will be seeded 1 to 8, and the 8 runner up will be seeded 9 to
16. Result of the groups is based on match point and then average. Please check the diagram for the knock
out final. In the knock out phase the distance is 40 points – equal innings – drawn matches will be
determined by Shoot Out.

Hotel: Due to a congress in Copenhagen at the same time as the Nordic Championship there are very few
hotel rooms in Copenhagen. The DDBU has made an agreement with the House of Sport – Brøndby Stadion
20 – Brøndby – (same location as the DDBU office) regarding hotel as follows:
Double room DKK 750 incl. breakfast and single room DKK 475 incl. breakfast.
Distance to the venue is 9,5 km – approximately 20 minutes by car.
