Greetings in the name of Jesus Christ,
I am praying for you and for our church. I’ve been
trying to write this article for the newsletter for three
days and can’t seem to get my head screwed on
straight. So I am going to tell you what I can…
I love you. Thank you for allowing me to be your
pastor.
God loves you and so do I,
Pastor Dave
****************************************************************************************************
Thank You
To My Church Family,
I want to thank all of the people who worked
on the re-enactment of the “Last Supper”!
As all of you know this historic event was held at our
Church April 5th, 2012.
I will always remember that important day in
my life! I have seen many historical events in the
past 59 years of my life! The “Last Supper” in Honor
of Jesus Christ was done justice and very sacredly! I
know all of you who worked on this project was done
in love for our Savior, Jesus Christ!
2
Also that day we had communion. When
William Smith gave me the Bread, I Ken Larmore
said these sacred words to William! I said this quote,
“I accept Jesus Christ as my Savior for all of Eternity!”
William said to me absolutely!
I am very thankful that I went to see this
reenactment of the “Last Supper!” This event will
always be the most historic event I have seen since I
was born! Yes, it was emotional for me to watch it!
Again, thank you all very much who worked
on this project for the “Last Supper!” You all did it
with very high “Honor and “Respect” for our Savior,
Jesus Christ!
Sincerely and to all of you in Christian Love,
Kenneth Gene Larmore.

UNITED METHODIST WOMEN
Our craft group is late getting started on
projects for this year’s Tasty Luncheon due to my
surgery. I hope to get started next month if things
continue to go well. But I am asking for your help so
that we will have enough crafts to sell come
November.
If any of you (and there are a number who
already contribute) have a hobby or craft you would
like to work on at home and bring in for sale, it would
be greatly appreciated. I’m sure we have some
knitters, sewers, wood working people out there and
if you start now you’ll have a lot of time to work on
something. We do most of the things geared toward
Thanksgiving and Christmas as this is what people
are shopping for at that time, but some projects are
good for year round use.
We are also going to be filling some baskets
that we will sell. If you aren’t crafty, you may be able
to help with this. We have a couple of Warm Glow
candles that we could pair up with maybe kitchen
towels, pot holders, cute spatulas, etc.
Other suggestions: apple candle & teacher’s
items for a teachers mug or basket; a journal, ink
pen, devotional book; lotions and bath items for a
ladies basket; ceramic snowman or Santa with place
mats or kitchen towels and pot holder. Maybe one or
two of you would like to put a basket together and
donate it, or just pick an item above and donate that,
we’ll do the rest.
Save the date!

Watch some of your coupons – buy one get

appropriate items when they’re on sale. Christmas
items are out for sale as early as August & Sept.
(silly as that is) but it does give us a chance to buy
early enough to include in the Tasty Luncheon. Use
your imagination. Your help will be greatly
appreciated.
The third Sunday of each month is “Serving the
Lord’s Table” from 5:00PM till 6:00pm. Sunday, May 20, 2012

is the date for this month. There are still slots open on the 3
Sunday dates for the second half of the year. Thank you, for
this is a much needed mission.

Andrews, a New York Times best-selling author, lives and
writes in Orange Beach, Alabama, and our Molly is a parttime resident there. Besides The Noticer, she has read
three additional Andrews books. Thanks, Molly, for
donating them to our church library.

The Noticer: Sometimes All a Person Needs is
a Little Perspective. Andrew’s character, Jones, an
old drifter at Orange Beach, Alabama is able to see
what others miss, and by that gift offers hope and
wisdom to those whose lives feel barren. “There is no
such thing as a dead end.”
The Heart Mender: Helen Mason’s bitter
resentment toward the Nazi War Machine that took
her husband’s life, and a German U-Boat commander
washed ashore on her Gulf of Mexico beach, set up
this powerful novel about forgiveness and the
universal healing experience of letting go.
Return to Sawyertor Springs: A Mostly True
Tale Filled with Love, Learning and Laughter. Mark
Hansen said of Andress’ story of his boyhood home,
“If you like Garrison Keillor’s Lake Woebegone you’ll
love Sawyerton Springs. He dares the reader to read
the first chapter aloud without falling on the floor
laughing.
In Mastering the Seven Decisions, Andrews
draws profiles of vastly successful people and offers
pages of probing exercises to help us put these
principles immediately to work in our own life.
The Noticer is still on the UMW reading shelf
and the others are located on the shelf under the
library bulletin board during May. After May The
Mender can be found in section “F” and Sawyerton
Springs and Seven Decisions in section “248”.

A Beautiful Explanation of Death
KIDS
CORNER
Another month has come and gone and here we
are marching into May! School will be out in a
few weeks and summer will be here before we
know it! I see some picnics, parties, and play
days in the making! Remember our “P’s” of
running the race. Keep focused on Jesus and
time in our busy schedules to pray and praise His
name! I would like to begin focusing time with
our Youth and forming a praise team to assist
with special services including music, music,
music! If you are interested, please get with me
– young and old alike could benefit from this.
Get a vision – Reach out – Get involved! Until
next time…..:

A sick man turned to his doctor as
he was preparing to leave the
examination room and said, ‘Doctor, I’m
afraid to die. Tell me what lies on the
other side..’ Very quietly, the doctor said,
‘I don’t know..’ ‘You don’t know? You’re a
Christian man, and don’t know what’s on
the other side?’
The doctor was holding the handle
of the door; On the other side came a
sound of scratching and whining, and as
he opened the door, a dog sprang into the
room and leaped on him with an eager
show of gladness.
Turning to the patient, the doctor
said, ‘Did you notice my dog? He’s never
been in this room before. He didn’t know
what was inside. He knew nothing except
that his master was here, and when the
door opened, he sprang in without fear.
I know little of what is on the other
side of death, but I do know one thing… I
know my Master is there and that is
enough.’
