I’ve been trying to write this article for the newsletter for three days and can’t seem to get my head screwed on straight. So I am going to tell you what I can… I love you. Thank you for allowing me to be your pastor. God loves you and so do I, Pastor Dave **************************************************************************************************** Thank You To My Church Family, I want to thank all of the people who worked on the re-enactment of the “Last Supper”! As all of you know this historic event was held at our Church April 5th, 2012. I will always remember that important day in my life! I have seen many historical events in the past 59 years of my life! The “Last Supper” in Honor of Jesus Christ was done justice and very sacredly! I know all of you who worked on this project was done in love for our Savior, Jesus Christ! 2 Also that day we had communion. When William Smith gave me the Bread, I Ken Larmore said these sacred words to William! I said this quote, “I accept Jesus Christ as my Savior for all of Eternity!” William said to me absolutely! I am very thankful that I went to see this reenactment of the “Last Supper!” This event will always be the most historic event I have seen since I was born! Yes, it was emotional for me to watch it! Again, thank you all very much who worked on this project for the “Last Supper!” You all did it with very high “Honor and “Respect” for our Savior, Jesus Christ! Jim Wicker Worship Team UNITED METHODIST WOMEN Our craft group is late getting started on projects for this year’s Tasty Luncheon due to my surgery. I hope to get started next month if things continue to go well. But I am asking for your help so that we will have enough crafts to sell come November. If any of you (and there are a number who already contribute) have a hobby or craft you would like to work on at home and bring in for sale, it would be greatly appreciated. I’m sure we have some knitters, sewers, wood working people out there and if you start now you’ll have a lot of time to work on something. We do most of the things geared toward Thanksgiving and Christmas as this is what people are shopping for at that time, but some projects are good for year round use. We are also going to be filling some baskets that we will sell. If you aren’t crafty, you may be able to help with this. We have a couple of Warm Glow candles that we could pair up with maybe kitchen towels, pot holders, cute spatulas, etc. Other suggestions: apple candle & teacher’s items for a teachers mug or basket; a journal, ink pen, devotional book; lotions and bath items for a ladies basket; ceramic snowman or Santa with place mats or kitchen towels and pot holder. Maybe one or two of you would like to put a basket together and donate it, or just pick an item above and donate that, we’ll do the rest. Individuals who would like to donate blood must be as least 16 years of age, weigh at least 110 lbs., pass a brief mini-physical and medical history review, follow normal eating patterns before donating, and bring a picture I.D. The entire process should take approximately one hour. School will be out in a few weeks and summer will be here before we know it! I see some picnics, parties, and play days in the making! Remember our “P’s” of running the race. Keep focused on Jesus and time in our busy schedules to pray and praise His name! I would like to begin focusing time with our Youth and forming a praise team to assist with special services including music, music, music!
