Below: Members of a Summer of Service and residents of the Goose Egg Park neighborhood pose with the mural. Contributed photos RNeighbors partnered with Community Education’s Adoption Camp and SOS (Summer of Service) groups to spruce up the Northrop goose street mural on Second Avenue Northwest between Ninth and 10th streets northwest in Rochester on Aug. 7. Neighbors also were invited, and a total of about 50 people rolled up their sleeves to paint. The elaborate mural picturing a goose inside a swirly floral egg was the third street mural to be painted in Rochester neighborhoods in 2008. It was designed by local muralist Greg Wimmer. The mural is located between Goose Egg Park and the Community Education building, on the one-way street going north. A summary of the RNeighbors painting season can be found online.
