She passed away peacefully on January 29, 2014, after a long illness. Betty was often called Little Betty, and was the next to youngest of 12 children. Raised on a farm in Smithield, Pennsylvania, Betty knew the meaning of hard work and carried that with her through her adult life. She moved to Baltimore, Maryland where she met and married Jack E. Borochof in the early 1940’s. They moved to Tulsa soon thereafter where they raised two boys, Steve and Doug. Betty also has three grandchildren, Jacob, Lauren and Brittany. She loved to be around her grandchildren and her daughter-in-law, Kathy, and they all had wonderful times together. Betty worked as a ticket agent for TWA and as a travel agent for AAA Travel. She loved her work and continued working into her 70’s. Betty always had a wonderful smile, and bright spirit. She enjoyed her polka music and loved to sing and dance. She started square dancing in her 70’s and often went on Saturday nights with her very close friend, Junior Green. Lastly, Betty was a free spirit. She wanted to get up and just go, and do things; and she did. She traveled the world with her husband, Jack, and led overseas tour groups with AAA, sang, went to dances, and just enjoyed being with people. Betty, we will miss your bright eyes and sweet smile. Betty was preceded in death by her husband Jack in 1989, and many of her brothers and sisters. Betty is survived by her sons, Steve Borochof, from Austin; Doug Borochof of Tulsa; and daughter-in-law Kathy, and her three grandchildren, Jake, Lauren and Brittany, and many cousins. A Rosary service will be held at 7p.m., Sunday evening, February 2, 2014 at St. Bernard Church, 4001 East 101st Street, Tulsa. Williams, DDS | Charles V. Williams, DDS passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family, on January 30, 2014. He was born to Alva and Grace Williams in Tulsa, OK on May 9, 1922. Dr. Williams graduated from Tulsa’s Central High School in 1939. Dr. Williams enlisted in the Army Air Corps in 1942, and served as an Air Force lead navigator for thirty-ive combat invasions in the European theatre during the Second World War. Upon discharge from Military Duty, Dr. Williams entered Kansas Western Dental College which later became known as The University of Missouri at Kansas City Dental School. Schober on June 23, 1922 in Topeka, KS. He died in Tulsa on January 24. He graduated from Topeka High School in 1940. While attending Kansas University, he was active in Delta Upsilon fraternity. He volunteered for service in the Army Air Corps during college. After three years in the service he completed his formal education at K.U. with a B.S. degree in accounting in 1947. He married Mary E. Miller immediately upon graduation and moved to Saginaw, MI, where he was employed as oice manager of the Rainbo Baking Co. In 1950, he, with his wife and son, Scott, transferred to Oklahoma City, where he was made a vice-president of the bakery. Within a few years, he moved his family of now three children, Scott, Sally, and Greg, to Tulsa. In 1961 he was divorced. In 1964 he married Joyce Butler, who had three children, Joanne, Jan, and Jack. At that time he had ! just started working as Director of Utilities Services with the city of Tulsa. In his working years he was active in church work and sang in church choirs. Two years after his retirement, he volunteered for the Better Business Bureau. In time he became manager of the BBB volunteers. He is preceded in death by his son, Scott, and his granddaughter, Sarah Adams. He is survived by his wife Joyce of Tulsa; his two children, Sally Cunningham and her husband, Mike of Colleyville TX; and Greg Schober and his wife Mauri of Portland, OR. Also surviving are two step-children; Jan Adams and her husband Roger of Tulsa, and Jack Webster and his wife Linda of Louisville, KY. Also surviving are 10 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. He passed from this life Wednesday, January 29, 2014 in Tulsa, Oklahoma at the age of 78. Len grew up in Ada, OK alongside his brother, Herb and graduated from Byng High School in 1954. After high school he moved to Tulsa where he worked for a local car dealership. Len married Jean Creekmore in El Reno, OK on January 11, 1959; the same year he enlisted in the Air Force Reserve. The couple started Sherrell Paint & Body in June of 1959. Over those 55 years Len was in business, he gained many new customers who quickly became his friends and led to his business motto, “Making Friends Through Business.” Len retired in 2007 and the business is now operated by his son. Len was actively involved with dirt track racing around Oklahoma all his life. He sponsored local race driver, Jackie Howerton which inspired him to build and race his own car. His driving career was cut short due to a horrific crash at Muskogee’s Thunderbird Speedway in 1969. Len had many interests and hobbies, including restoring various antiques and cars. He is known as a world class practical joker. Len was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Herb Sherrell. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Jean; his children, Gary, Vic and his wife, Lisa, Terri and her husband, Mark; grandchildren, Jodi Kendrick, Matt and Stacey Sherrell, Corbin Sherrell, Chelsea and Austin Simon; and, his three great-grandchildren.
