BULLETIN BOARD
Bulletin Board is a versatile linoleum
finishing material. Best known as a
pinboard material with exceptional
durability. It is a common wall covering in,
for instance, schools, offices and the
health care sector. As a semi-finished
product, it is also incorporated in notice
boards, dividing walls, furniture, door
panels and cupboard walls.
Bulletin Board is produced from
renewable raw materials. The combination
of oxidised linseed oil, resin, cork and
pigments in the covering gives it flexibility
and resilience. These qualities result in a
product with exceptional durability.
Bulletin Board is the material of choice
when a notice board/functional wall
covering material is to be combined with
a balanced use of colours.

Each year around 1 in 20 schools experiences a fire and nearly 60% of school

fires are started deliberately.
In support of good design practice, TeacherBoards manufactures a range of products to assist
those responsible for the design, construction and maintenance of education establishments to
satisfy their obligations in respect of fire safety.
TeacherBoards, in conjunction with the Furniture Industry Research Association has had all relevant
products tested for compliance with the latest standards. Certification is available on request or
can be downloaded from our website. Testing also includes the latest harmonised standard BS EN
13823:2002 and BS EN 11925-2 which ensures our premium range of Phoenix™ products offer the
maximum protection available, having had all components tested as a fully-assembled
composite product.
Each individual circumstance needs to be considered on its own merits but we offer the following
guidance below for product selection. The definition of “wall linings” in either corridors or
classrooms needs to consider the application of notice boards as a constituent part.
