HIS KIDS
BENEFIT FOR JAGGER’S FAMILY—
Honestly
Intelligently
Seeking God
Saturday, March 9th,
In HIS KIDS the children have been challenged to learn a
verse every week. In January each person involved with
HIS KIDS was given a book called The Joshua Code
which gives a wonderful devotion on verses the author
felt are very important for everyone to learn. So the leaders read for their own edification and help the kids understand the verse that they are learning for that week. Then
every 5th week we have a revue night for the kids to say
the verses to their shepherds. We were well pleased with
the results of the first month.
The revue nights are coupled with a movie and celebrating of birthdays. Each time we do this we need about 3
dozen cupcakes. We would love to have someone to volunteer to provide decorated cupcakes (doesn't have to be
fancy) for March 27.
Also remember that a wonderful way that you can serve
the Lord is to help provide a simple supper for the children -- pair up with a friend if you wish. Sign up on the
list and have fun.
SERMONS ALA CARTE
The Sheridan County Ministerial Association invites us
to attend the annual Lenten luncheons in observance of
the Lenten Season. They are held every Wednesday at
12 p.m. at the Gordon United Methodist Fellowship Hall.
Lunch is provided by the hosting churches for a freewill
donation. All efforts are made to ensure people can attend and return to work within the hour.
Our church will serve this Wednesday, March 6th. We
encourage to come and support our pastor. If you are
interested in helping with the meal, please contact
Shirley Adkinson.
don American Legion.
