It is compatible with every current and proposed curriculum model. *Student Discounted rate: £120 per student applying with current student number. The cost does not include handbook or lunch. • This 2 day Sapere Level 1 course provides an introduction to P4C and participants will be eligible to claim a nationally recognised qualification. • Course fee includes handbook and course materials.* • Participants who complete the course and complete follow up work in schools can, under certain circumstances, claim Masters credits toward the Masters Teaching and Learning programme run at the MMU Faculty of Education if they wish to continue their studies towards an award. Further information can be obtained from the trainer. You can attend this scheduled course over two days, in-house at MMU Didsbury, or the training can be customised and delivered at your school during twilight or whole-day INSET sessions. Trainer John Smith is a Senior Lecturer in Primary Education at the MMU Faculty of Education and he is a Sapere Trainer in P4C. John was a primary teacher for many years before becoming a teacher educator. In addition to his work in initial teacher education, he has been involved in a range of school and curriculum development work. John’s book Talk, thinking and philosophy in the primary classroom was published in 2010.
