WORSHIP NEXT WEEKEND
December 6th and December 7th
Second Sunday of Advent
Stewardship in Action:
That as vigilant stewards of God’s gifts, we seek
to follow Jesus by making our gifts, shared
among the many, a priority during Advent, we
pray to the Lord…
Stewardship Reflection:
We are the servants of God, each with his or her
own task. We will be judged good stewards if,
at His coming, he finds us ready, conscientiously pursuing the tasks to which we have
been called.
Living Stewardship:
We are grateful this week for all stewards in
our parish who strive to be alert to the work of
God in the present moment through service in
our parish ministries.
Stewardship of Collections:
Our thanks and gratitude for your sacrificial
giving each week.

OUTREACH 631-271-8986
Open: 10 am-11:50am and 1-3:00pm
We would like to extend our gratitude to the Staff and Students from Stimson Middle School, especially Anthony Sansotta
for putting together their yearly fundraiser for the Holidays to our pantry. Together they collected:
∗ 160 Boxes of Cereal
* 223 Jars of Peanut Butter and Jelly
* 834 bag/boxes of Rice and Pasta * 2,300 canned items
Additional to those items they also brought in stuffing, gravy, as well as cranberry sauce.
CHRISTMAS PROGRAM:
This year we will attempt to sign up some families for the Holidays. Yes, it is that time of again when we at outreach start to plan
for Christmas. As in the past we will be asking for Gift Certificates to help our families. This year more than ever our need has increased dramatically, so please remember us when you are shopping. As in the past in order for us to distribute your donations
equally to all the families, we ask that you purchased the gift certificates in denominations of $10, $20, and $25. We will also accept
certificates to local supermarkets and monetary donations to assist families with fuel and utility bills. For your convenience donations may be put in envelopes marked OUTREACH CHRISTMAS and placed in the Sunday collection basket of dropped at the
Rectory of the Outreach office during working hours. Once again the certificates should be from K-Mart or Old Navy. We will also
accept supermarket gift cards. We wish to Thank everyone for all of your support throughout the year.
Please have the certificates back to us by the week of December 7th.
RELIGIOUS EDUCATION NEWS 631- 271-6081
On Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday of this coming week
(Dec 1, 2, & 3), the students in levels 3 & 4 in our program
will receive the Sacrament of Reconciliation during their
session. Unfortunately we can’t offer this to our Sunday’s
students because the church and our priests are not available due to the celebrations of Mass. If you have a child
in level 3 or 4 in our Sunday program and you would like
them to receive the Sacrament, you may bring them to
the church at 4:15 on any of the days listed above.
Please note that the Sacrament of Reconciliation is offered
every Saturday afternoon from 4 to 4:45 pm in the church.

An Evening of Spiritual Renewal
The Gospel of Matthew tells us Jesus
came from a family tree of sinners: murderers, cheats, cowards, adulterers, liars,
tyrants, and fools, yet he is not ashamed
to call us brothers and sisters! His ancestors also include women and men of great faith
like Mary and Joseph. Jesus is born into humanity
at its most broken and its most graced, and that
includes you!
