St. David Church is seeking a trained Youth and Young
Adult Minister to work with the youth and young adults
of the parish on a part-time basis. The requirements are:
1. Age: 21 thru 35
2. Active member of the Catholic Church who has received the Sacraments of Initiation– Baptism, First
Communion, Confirmation

Day of Recollection for Vocations
Come and See! Have you ever thought about priesthood
or religious life? Maybe you haven’t but would like to
know more? Then join us for a Day of Recollection on
Vocations at Our Lady of Sorrows Retreat Center (103
Railroad Ave. St. Martinville) on Saturday November 29,
2014 from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Topics will include:
helps to discern a vocation, religious and diocesan priesthood, nuns and consecrated virgins, religious brothers,
and much more. Mass will be celebrated at 12 noon.
There is no cost, and no registration is required. Please
bring a brown bag lunch. Participants under 18 years of

We will have Thanksgiving Day Mass in church Thursday, November 27th at 9:00 a.m. Parishioners are invited

For the Thanksgiving Holidays, the office will be closed
Wednesday, November 26th and Thursday, November
27th. The office will reopen Tuesday, December 2nd.
Holy Land
Do you want to go to the Holy Land in 2015? Please let
Fr. Oswald know. The Registration for the Trip is opened,
come forward! There will be a meeting on Sunday, November 23rd after the 10:00 a.m. Mass about the upcoming Holy Land Trip.
Catholic Women in Action
Catholic Women in Action hosts Advent Reflections:
Mary, Take My Heart to Your Son – December 1 & December 2, 2014.
Catholic Women in Action, a committee of the Catholic
Foundation of the Archdiocese of New Orleans, is holding two Advent mornings of reflection entitled “Mary,
Take My Heart to Your Son.” They will feature local
priests and women reflecting on how to spiritually prepare for Christ’s coming. The first morning of reflection
will take place on December 1st at Mary Queen of Peace
Church located at 1501 W. Causeway Approach, Mandeville, LA. Mass begins at 9:00 a.m. The second morning
of reflection will take place on December 2nd at St. Francis Xavier Church located at 444 Metairie Road. Mass
begins at 8:00 a.m. All are welcome.
Holy Hour For Peace
Every first Friday of the month at 11:00 a.m. there
will be Holy Hour for peace and end of violence followed by Mass in the Church.
