* HYMN OF PRAISE, No. 721
“Come, Ye Thankful People, Come”
Come, ye thankful people, come;
Raise the song of harvest home.
All is safely gathered in
Ere the winter storms begin.
God, our maker, doth provide
For our wants to be supplied;
Come to God’s own temple, come,
Raise the song of harvest home.
All the world is God’s own field,
Fruit unto His praise to yield;
Wheat and tares together sown,
Unto joy or sorrow grown.
First the blade, and then the ear,
Then the full corn shall appear,
Lord of harvest, grant that we
Wholesome grain and pure may be.
Even so, Lord, quickly come,
To Your final harvest home,
Gather all Your people in,
Free from sorrow, free from sin,
There, forever purified,
In Your presence to abide.
Come, with all Your angels, come,
Raise the glorious harvest home.

CALL TO CONFESSION
COMMUNITY PRAYER OF CONFESSION
Lord Jesus, You came that we might have life, and life to
the full! Your miracles abound in every aspect of our lives;
yet, we confess to not living fully, due to one thing we often lack – gratitude! In light of Your healing us in so many
ways, if only we would throw ourselves at Your feet saying,
“Thank you!” Forgive us for the emptiness we inject into
our relationship by just not saying, “Thank you.” You are
our all in all – in ways seen and unseen. Oh that we would
pursue relationship with You, with as much passion as You
have pursued relationship with us.
PRAYER OF PERSONAL CONFESSION
ASSURANCE OF GOD’S FORGIVENESS
RESPONSE
“Give Thanks”
Give thanks with a grateful heart,
Give thanks to the Holy One,
Give thanks because He’s given
Jesus Christ, His Son.
And now let the weak say, “I am strong,”
Let the poor say, “I am rich,”
Because of what the Lord has done for us.

PRAYERS OF THE PEOPLE / THE LORD’S PRAYER
* HYMN OF PREPARATION
“Thank You, Lord, My Sure Redeemer”
Thank you, Lord, my sure redeemer,
Thanks for all that You provide.
Thanks for storms You’ve helped us weather,
Thanks for all that You supply.
Thanks for pain and thanks for pleasure,
Thanks for comfort in despair.
Thanks for grace that none can measure,
Thanks for love beyond compare.
Thanks, O God, for boundless mercy
From Thy gracious throne above.
Thanks for ev’ry need provided
From the fullness of Thy love.
Thanks for daily toil and labour and
For rest when shadows fall.
Thanks for love of friend and neighbor
And Thy goodness unto all.
Thanks for roses by the wayside,
Thanks for thorns their stems contain!
Thanks for home and thanks for fireside,
Thanks for hope, that sweet refrain!
Thanks for joy and thanks for sorrow,
Thanks for heav’nly peace with Thee!
Thanks for hope today, tomorrow;
Thanks through all eternity!

OFFERINGS AND STATEMENTS OF GRATITUDE
HYMN OF THANKSGIVING, No. 14
“Now Thank We All Our God”
Now thank we all our God
With heart and hands and voices,
Who wondrous things has done,
In whom His world rejoices;
Who, from our mothers’ arms,
Has blessed us on our way
With countless gifts of love,
And still is ours today.
All praise and thanks to God
The Father now be given,
The Son, and Him who reigns
With them in highest heaven,
The one eternal God,
Whom earth and heav’n adore;
For thus it was, is now,
And shall be evermore.
