Discounted AAA Memberships Now Available
SOMC is partnering with AAA to provide employees with discounted rates for AAA memberships.
To participate, employees must complete and return an enrollment form, which was sent via e-mail
last week. The form can also be obtained from the Human Resources
Department. Forms must be returned to HR by Dec. 5.
Memberships will automatically renew for employees who are
already enrolled in the program. If you are a AAA member directly
through AAA, you can join the SOMC AAA program and your
dues will be pro-rated, you will receive a discount upon renewal,
and your dues will be annually automatically payroll deducted.
If you have any questions, please call Tonya Messer at ext. 5614.
Emergency Preparedness Information Questionnaire
SOMC nurses are being asked to assess their readiness to respond to emergency events by
completing a survey concerning their own perception of emergency preparedness.
The survey allows nurses to rate their familiarity with topics addressing emergency
preparedness on a continuum topics. The survey is part of a DNP capstone project being
completed by Angela Hodge, clinical coordinator of the SOMC Emergency Department.
The survey is anonymous and was made available to SOMC RNs and LPNs via e-mail Nov. 1. We hope
to meet a 50 percent participation goal, so all nurses are encouraged to complete the survey.
