Shabbos Parshas Vayetzei

RABBI DR. TZVI HERSH WEINREB, RABBI EMERITUS
Message from the President
I must give a special thanks to the following people, who
worked tirelessly to make the concert such a huge success. Chaim
Wealcatch, Kenny Friedman, Avi and Sora Greenlinger, Natan
Berry, Stuie Schabes, and my favorite schnitzel maker, Bonnie
Pollak. This group poured months of work into the logistics,
including venue, seating, soliciting of sponsors, and non-stop
planning. We had more than 1,300 people at the concert, and
the compliments have been pouring in. Chaim Gartenhaus
received a well-deserved standing ovation, and the emotion of
the night was topped only by the beautiful words that both the
Rav and Chaim expresseed at the concert. It was a beautiful
evening, and it lived up to expectations.
I’d also like to thank Dr. Moshe Lasson for his lecture “Walking
on Eggshells”, which had between 50-60 people in attendance.
This too was well received and enjoyed by those that were in
attendance. Special thanks to Mrs. Etta Friedman for picking up
refreshments for the group. The senior friends of Shomrei are
working on their next activity, and details will be forthcoming.
Finally, plans are underway for the youth Chanukah party, as
well as a Chanukah event for “grownups”. Define grownups any
which way you please.
Please contribute generously to the Shomrei Israel Fund to help
the families of the Har Nof attacks, and continue to keep them in
your tfillos. Many are still in need of a refuah, as they adjust to
a life that is far different than it was two short weeks ago.
