Today and at every Holy Mass! Such great JOY! “In the Son of the Virgin, wrapped in swaddling clothes and lying in a manger” (Lk 2:12), we acknowledge and adore “the Bread which came down from heaven” (Jn 6:41, 51), the Redeemer who came among us in order to bring life to the world.” Saint John Paul II, Christmas 2003 May His presence among us and in our daily lives bring to our families the gifts of unity, kindness and love. MERRY CHRISTMAS AND A BLESSED NEW YEAR! Love & Prayers, Fr. Marek MASS SCHEDULE Christmas Eve 4:00PM Children’s Mass Christmas Eve 10:00PM Vigil Christmas Day 8:00AM, 10AM, 12Noon New Years Eve 5:00PM New Years Day 9:00AM, 11:00AM For Families… Christmas Eve is a good night to bless your Christmas Tree. FAMILY PRAYER (Gather around your Christmas tree) Parent: O God, we gather at this beautiful tree, a symbol of the new life we receive in Jesus. All: Bless our tree; bless our home; bless us, Lord. Parent: We’ve decorated with ornaments and lights, but, Lord, nothing surpasses the beauty of your creation. All: Bless our tree; bless our home; bless us, Lord. Parent: We place gifts here, but nothing surpasses your gift to us-your Son, Jesus. All: Bless our tree; bless our home; bless us, Lord. (Take one another’s hands and pray an Our Father and Hail Mary together.) Merry Christmas from all of us at CCD! Peace, Joy and Happiness to us all in 2015! 4th Sunday of Advent – December 21, 2014 "And behold, Elizabeth, your relative, has also conceived a son in her old age, and this is the sixth month for her who was called barren; For nothing will be impossible for God. Mary said, “Behold, I am the handmaid of the Lord. May it be done to me according to your word.” (Lk 1) Mary humbly accepted God's plan. She expected the Child. Her family and friends could give her good advice: Be careful! Eat well, sleep longer, do not work too hard! But... Mary visited Elizabeth, helped and brought joy into the home of her relatives. Joy and love always help! Joy and love think of others! Joy and love are not selfish! Selfishness locks your heart and binds your hands. Only love leaps for joy. 3 Catechetical Corner From Hurry up and Wait by Connie Clark… I’m trying to catch a few minutes of adoration before the Blessed Sacrament, but there’s a problem. I just can’t concentrate. There are so many people in church I want to wish a Merry Christmas. I keep looking at all the decorations. I still have a to do list. I still have to give my husband a to do list. I tell myself to pay attention to Jesus, but really, it’s three days before Christmas. I’m so distracted! But actually, think about it. Life throws distractions at us from all sides. Stress, pain, sorrow, problems, and temptations will always be there. But Jesus is always before us too. It’s not easy to focus and follow him, but he will help us. Jesus always does. Maybe this once, I should take the time to give Him my time...undivided! 578 CCD Classes will begin again on Monday, Jan. 5TH.
