THEATER AND OTHER TRIPS
Reservations for all trips may be made in the following way: by mail, by phone, or in person. Tickets,
which include transportation and admission, will be on a first-come-first serve basis. Please register early
to avoid disappointment. All buses will leave from the South Plainfield High School parking lot, which is
off the Lane Avenue side of the school. We cannot honor any cancellations; you may have someone else
attend in your place. For trips with a three (3) digit prefix - We will be happy to sell your tickets if we have
a waiting list, a $5.00 per ticket cancellation fee will be assessed.

2779. NATIONAL SEPTEMBER 11 MEMORIAL & MUSEUM IN NYC & THE NEW YORK
CITY FIRE MUSEUM – SUNDAY, MARCH 29, 2015 – PRICE $125.00 – Bus leaves at 8:00 a.m. Join
us as we visit The National September 11 Memorial and Museum in NYC. This museum and
memorial is located at the site of the former World Trade Center complex in Lower Manhattan.
Time is provided to tour this world-class, 110,000 square-foot museum and also visit the outdoor
memorial. The museum details the events leading to and including the terrorist attacks that took
the lives of nearly 3,000 victims. The Museum’s core exhibitions will be located within the
archaeological heart of the World Trade Center site. See the remnants of structural columns that
now delineate the footprints of the original Twin Towers. Portions of the original foundations of
the Towers have also been preserved. As visitors make their final descent to the exhibition level,
they will pass alongside the Vesey Street stair remnant, the historic “Survivors’ Stairs.” After an
included lunch in nearby Little Italy we visit the New York City Fire Memorial Museum. Housed in
a 1904 Firehouse is one of the nation's most important collections of fire related art and artifacts
from the late 18th century onward. Also on display are a collection of antique fire engines, horsedrawn ladder wagons, and a moving 911 memorial to honor the 343 fallen NYC firefighters. It’s a

trip to Europe. We begin our day with a visit to The Cloisters, a branch of the Metropolitan

this fine collection of art and architecture from the Romanesque, Gothic and Medieval periods.

The High Line is a beautiful elevated walking path that sits upon an old elevated train track. Its
features beautiful views of the surrounding areas with numerous benches, gardens and
overlooks. You may walk at your own pace or join your escort as we slowly stroll along this
elevated park. We conclude our visit here at the Chelsea Market a collection of unique shops and
restaurants in an historic building. Next we make our way to Brookfield Place, a $250-million
renovation of The World Financial Center and near the entrance to The Battery Park City

court in Brookfield Place, or an outdoor restaurant seated by the marina and the Hudson River.
