This program will assist entrepreneurs in starting down the path of
successful business ownership—
evaluating business ideas, developing a business plan, selecting a legal
structure, registering a company,
and exploring financing options.

Disaster Preparedness
The Second Step: “Completing Your
Business Plan”
No small business is complete without a good business plan!
The focus of this seminar is to discuss the different aspects
of a business plan, including strategic marketing and financial projections. Learn first hand from our
consultants how to set up your business
plan and make it the best it can be! The
seminar will address marketing segment
concerns such as: product definition, targeting, competitive analysis, marketing strategy and media outlets. The course even
provides an understanding of basic financial
statements. Another objective of this course is to help participants develop and test a “Business Pitch” for a new business or a new project within an existing business. As a participant you’ll learn to organize and improve all the essential
elements of a business plan!

Finding Government Procurement
Opportunities (PTAC)
This business continuity program will expand upon
the risk assessment principles covered in our first
step seminar, and go much more in depth. This seminar will teach attendees how to implement various
plans and procedures to properly prepare their business to withstand any disasters that may occur.

than doing so in the commercial marketplace. This introductory seminar will show you how to prepare for what is
often, a long-term marketing effort. Learn how selling to
government agencies can present the opportunity to grow
or diversify your company’s revenues. You will learn
fundamentals of doing business with government,
necessary registrations and certifications, sources of
information and business resources, and working with the
Commonwealth of PA.
