Congratulations to December Student of the Month
Emily Hallman is one of the most enthusiastic learners I've had the pleasure of teaching two years in a
row.
As a learner, she focuses on the day's tasks, takes notes, and doesn't take time for granted. She may be
+the only student that organizes her tasks prior to missing class. As a peer, Emily is thoughtful and provides
students with meaningful interpretations of the tasks to help them form their own rationales. I enjoy her
unique perspectives on motivation and effort. She seems like she never has a bad day, never needs a break,
never whines to me about the complexity of the task-she keeps her head up and pushes through.
Chiefland Middle Student of the Month for November -Carly Gillen 6th Grade
Carly is new to our school. She has a twin brother named Caleb. She is a very sweet, conscientious young
lady that is like by all those she comes in contact with.

Mrs. Flemming is always working really hard to make
sure her students “get it.” She views everyone the
same and gives everyone equal opportunity. She is a
great person all-around.

Central Florida Electric Cooperative is accepting applications for their
Washington/Tallahassee Youth Tour. It all begins with a two day
expense-paid trip to Tallahassee. Six lucky juniors within our TriCounty service area, whose residence is served by Central Florida
Electric Coop., will be selected to attend. While at the State Capital
they will become familiar with our legislature and how it conducts
political decision making. We will visit interesting places and you will
also participate in a chance to be one of three students chosen to
be part of Central Florida Electric Cooperative’s Washington Youth
Tour. Be sure to ask your Guidance Counselor for details and
applications, or visit our web site at www.cfec.com.
