GIFT DAY—We hope that many of you have been able to bring a gift to donate to the Children’s Society which aims to help children in need. At this time, we would also request that our regular members consider giving the Church a gift, no matter how large or small. Your generosity is greatly appreciated. SENIOR CITIZENS' PARTY—This year the Senior Citizens' Party will take place on 24th January 2015 from 1.30 to 5.30pm. We extend a very warm invitation to all of our Senior Citizens. There will be a chance to meet old friends and possibly make some new ones. As usual, there will be a lavish tea and not forgetting, of course, the very popular Bingo session. This year, our entertainers are Tameside Community Choir, superbly led by Joyce Hansell, who will be singing some entertaining songs for us. As always, it will cost you nothing except your presence! But you will have to act quickly because numbers are limited. If you would like to come, then please get in touch with Karen Wright to book your ticket (303 0280) HELP! HELP! HELP! - We need your help. In order to provide some prizes for our Senior Citizens' Party, and get it going with a real swing, we are asking if you would kindly donate a prize for the Bingo. If you can provide a couple of prizes, or just one, would you please bring them to church and give them to one of the Wardens or Karen before the Party gets into full swing. Many thanks in anticipation for your help. CHRISTMAS PANTOMIME—The Ashton branch of the British Legion have a number of Pantomime tickets available at only £5 per ticket. They are for the dress rehearsal for the Performance of Aladdin at Hyde Theatre. The date is Tuesday 13th January and it is expected to be a sell out. If you are interested, please see Alicia as soon as possible. Don’t miss out! JAR OF GRACE — Please bring your donations in to Gladys as soon as possible. Grateful thanks to all. KEITH AND JULIANA moved house on Friday 28th November. They have sent a Thank You card for their leaving gift and also a Christmas Card which contains their new address if anyone needs it. Both of these cards are on the notice board at the side of the serving hatch. CAROL SINGING - As in previous years, Tameside Hospital Chaplaincy are organising carol singing round the wards from 6.15p.m. to 7.30p.m. on Christmas Eve. Refreshments are served afterwards. There is a letter on the lounge notice board giving details. Any volunteers would be most welcome. Room Bookings—A volunteer is needed to take over the Room Bookings. The job entails taking bookings for private parties etc, unlocking and locking up for these "dos" (or arranging for someone else to do it) and collecting the money paid for rent. There aren't that many over the course of the year. If you can help with this please see Philip. Many thanks go to the Junior Church and their leaders for their splendid performance of the Nativity Play and helping us remember the true meaning of Christmas. We hope that you have enjoyed our special service today. Please join us for a cup of tea or coffee in the lounge.
