Jacobs says: With nine returning letterwinners, we hope to outlast teams with senior depth and
youthful athleticism and speed. All five seniors have acquired the experience they need to go to battle
in
the our new Valley Division home. We are excited to rekindle our rivalry with our township schools,
Hamilton West and Nottingham, and excited to begin Valley girls-boys varsity double headers.
The backcourt will consist of steady senior paced guard play from Gaby Bennett Alissa Brugnoli and
Nicole Stull. Grace Sperazza, Cassidy Wood and Morgan Comfort add quickness and added depth in
the back court.
Last season’s frontcourt tandem of Greco and Lubitsky are back again for another year together to
help control the boards and dominate the paint for the Spartans. Brianna Dorner, provides a deceptive
presence in the post to help the senior front court players.
New comers Madison Balke, a transfer from Notre Dame, and Amy Schediell provide additional
sparks off the bench for our experienced squad. We hope to make noise in our new home and
improve on last season’s record.
Let's start with: Steinert opens at home Friday, Dec.19 with a 5:15 game against Hightstown in the
first-game of a boys-girls doubleheader.
