Saveaways are one-day tickets that you can use for travel on buses, trains and some Ferry services in Merseyside. Saveaways can be great value for money compared to ordinary tickets. There are Saveaway Tickets for adults and young people covering: •Liverpool •Southport/Formby • St Helens •Wirral • All Areas (whole of Merseyside and as far as Chester, Ellesmere Port and Ormskirk by rail only) Buying your Saveaway? You can buy your Saveaways from: Travelling by Saveaway How to use your Saveaway Once you have your Saveaway, you can use it as often as you like after 9.30am Monday to Friday and all day Saturday, Sunday and Bank Holidays, throughout the area shown. If you bought your ticket from a rail station and it looks like this The ticket is valid on • Merseyrail trains in Merseyside and as far as Chester, Ellesmere Port and Ormskirk (you must have an “all-areas” ticket to travel to and from stations outside the Merseyside boundary) • The Mersey Ferries (“all areas” Saveaways only). When travelling by ferry, show your ticket at the ticket office and receive a boarding pass.
