Big Savings on Used Vehicles! November and December are the most inexpensive
months to buy a new car.
Used cars are also at their lowest price this time of the year,
according to truecar.com.
The end of the year is a great
time to buy because the manufacturers want to move newer
models.
The date you buy your car is
important. New Year’s Eve is

A Word From the Funds Office
PPO VS NPPO
In-network (PPO = Preferred Provider Organization)
Health insurers negotiate fees and sign agreements with
health care providers and facilities that are then considered in network for members. Generally speaking, members pay less at these in-network facilities in the form of
lower copayments and deductibles.
Out-of-network (NPPO = Non Preferred Provider Organization)
If providers do not have an agreement with an insurer,
then they are considered out of network. Members who
wish to visit an out-of-network provider or facility do not
have the advantage of a negotiated lower rate. Because
of this, services may be more expensive.
The most current provider listing for all our vendors can
be found on the website. You can access links by clicking on the “Helpful Links” option.
Fighting the Flu Season
In addition to getting vaccinated, taking daily precautionary steps can also reduce the risk of spreading germs.
Follow these easy guidelines to help yourself and others
around you stay healthy and flu-free. Cover your nose
and mouth with a tissue when you cough or sneeze.
Wash your hands often and with soap and water. While
sick, limit contact with others as much as possible to
keep from spreading infection.
Bi-Annual Enrollment Form
Please get your forms into the TEWF Benefits office if
you have not done so already. If you did not submit the
Enrollment Form (and supporting documents, if necessary) by November 15, 2014, you and/or your dependent’s claims (including medical, mental health, and
prescription drug claims) will be placed on hold. If you
fail to respond by December 31, 2014, those claims will
be denied until proper documentation is received.

Toledo Electrical JATC - December 2014
***ATTENTION***
Coming in 2015:
The JATC will have a schedule out for the City of Toledo 2014 Code Update which will be a 10 hour course. Keep a lookout for these
upcoming dates.
The current Journeymen Ed. 2015 class schedule is listed in this newsletter. We will be adding additional classes for the year in the
January newsletter as well. So keep checking back for the class you are looking for!
Follow the JATC Website for Latest Educational Opportunities
The Toledo Joint Apprenticeship and Training Committee (JATC) provides educational opportunities to Journeyperson Electricians as
well as Apprentices. These classes are formed monthly and sometimes weekly to meet the demand for top quality training necessary
to maintain the high skill levels needed in today’s changing workplace.
The JATC is constantly updating its course schedules and course content to meet the current needs of its members and the industry.
While the JATC will continue to include its most current schedule in this monthly newsletter, for the latest and most current schedule
of training opportunities members are encouraged to go to the JATC website, at http://www.tejatc.org/. The JATC also maintains a
bulletin board at the JATC training facility, which contains the latest class schedules and opportunities. When classes are added to
meet increased demands and needs there may be additional openings. We therefore encourage you to check in regularly to the website. The JATC is committed to providing an educated, well-trained workforce through a cooperative labor-management educational
program.
Attention Apprentices:
Tutoring is on Thursday
