Pray, Eat, Share, Pray Gatherings
Thank you, thank you. thank you! Approximately 70 gathered together
during 2014 for our Pray, Eat, Share and Pray Gatherings to look at the
past, present and future for our church and their families. Many wonderful
thoughts and insights were shared and we look forward to appointing a
Vision Team in 2015 to review the booklets and move forward with the Lord
leading us!
If you were not able to attend a gathering and would like to share
your thoughts, please contact Pastor Jane and she will be happy to
forward you a booklet to complete by year end. The heart and thoughts of
the entire church family are important.
To close our gatherings, all young adult singles are invited to
lunch today at noon. A special email will also be sent shortly to our young
married couples so that we may also include your thoughts and insight but
will not gather until 2015.
Once again, thank you!
Please Join Us
On Wednesday evening, December 24th at 8:30 p.m., please join us for our
heart-warming Christmas Eve Candlelight Service as we celebrate the birth
of our Savior with traditional Christmas songs and the telling once again of
His story.
Dear Friends
As of today, we have received pledges and commitments for 2015 of
$82,316. We realize that many were not present for our Thanksgiving and
Commitment Worship Service in November and thank you in advance for
sending your commitments to our financial secretaries by year end. Last
year our commitment through pledges and giving was $116,000 and it is
our prayer that it will be similar in 2015. As always, thank you for your love
and support of the staff and ministry of Preakness Baptist. We are blessed
to be part of such a caring and giving church family.
Pastor Jane
Is the Lord calling YOU to use your gifts from Him? In the next few
weeks the Nominating Committee and Pastor Jane will be working closely
seeking God’s will in finding several replacements for the Combined Board.
Presently the Board is in need of one Deacon, one Christian Education and
two Trustee members. Although specific responsibilities are sought, at the
beginning of each year the separate boards meet together to be sure that
job responsibilities fit each member of the Board. Do you feel the Lord
calling you to serve on the Board? If you are feeling led, please talk to
Pastor Jane today! Blessings!
