From
I want to take a quick
moment to point you
in two directions and
ask a question.
First, let me bring
your attention to our
Lottie Moon Christmas Offering. Each
year I get excited
about this offering
because I have seen
its effects firsthand. I
have 3 very close
friends that serve as
IMB missionaries
throughout the
world. These men,
their families and
their ministries are
supported when you
and I give to the LM
Christmas offering. We have a big
goal this year of
$30,000. As you
pray, ask the Lord to
stretch you to give to
international missions
like you’ve never given before. Not everyone is called to be a
The Pastor
missionary in a foreign country but all of
us are called to participate in the mandate
to carry the Gospel of
Jesus to the ends of
the Earth.
Since I’ve mentioned
giving, let me point
you to a second
area. Thanks to Steve
Robbins and Lance
Moore we now have
the ability to give
online at Hillcrest. Many of you do
the majority of your
bill paying and other
commerce
online. Let’s face it,
this is the world in
which we live. Now
you can give your
tithe and offerings,
give towards missions
& adoptions; pay
camp fees, etc all
online. Simply go to
the Hillcrestministries.com website and
select the GIVE tab at
the top. I hope that
you will find it a joy
and blessing to be
involved in God’s
work as you sacrificially give whether
online or at
church.
Let me close by asking, as you review and
understand clearly
ALL of your sources of
income in 2014, have
you honored God by
giving at least the first
one-tenth to your local church? If you
have not, insure you
do so before December 31 so
that you can know
you have walked in
complete obedience
to God in 2014 in
relation to biblical
stewardship.
The church office will be closed on December 24, 25, and 26 in observance of the
Christmas Holiday and December 31 and
January 1 in observance of New Years Day.

Hillcrest Baptist Church will be hosting a special needs
prom sponsored by the Tim Tebow Foundation on Friday,
February 13, 2015 from 6—9 pm. This is one of 50 proms
that will be happening that same night across the
country! The vision is to provide an unforgettable night
full of Faith, Hope, and Love for the amazing people in
our community with special needs, ages 16 and older!
The Halos committee can not pull this event off without the help of the church. There are many volunteers needed
for this event. There are many areas to volunteer. Volunteer sheets are at the Welcome Center and in the church
office. Please pray about where God is leading you to volunteer and turn your sheets in. There is a drop off basket at
the Welcome Center or you may leave them in my door.

MUSIC
As I write this article, Christmas is only 9 days away. It’s hard for me to believe.
How about you? Katie and I want to wish each of you a
very Merry Christmas! We are blessed to serve in such a loving and generous church. Thanks for all the expressions of kindness shown throughout
the year. From kind words, to cards, to gifts and especially your prayers. As we celebrate
on the final Sunday before Christmas 2014, I hope you will join us as we have an ALL
CHOIRS worship event. Our Children’s Choir and Student Choir will join our Worship Choir
during our morning worship. Music is such an important part of Christmas!
We will sing several classic favorites along with a couple of new selections to celebrate
the birth of our Savior. Please make plans to participate with us. Bring your family and
invite your friends and neighbors to worship and make it a Christmas to remember. I look
forward to Sunday!
