changes must be received no later than tuesday at 12pm.
The General Manager of Municipal Infrastructure is a facilitative role that offers the right leader
the opportunity to shape the physical direction of the Canmore community. Our political, social and
environmental landscape creates rewarding challenges, and the opportunity to lead and inspire
meaningful projects that are unique to our mountain town. Some of the current and future challenges
include: restricted land use planning and development, hazard management and mitigation, aging
infrastructure redevelopment, local and active transit, and affordable housing. Your goal will be to
combine and direct these issues into communication and implementation plans, and then influence
the prioritization and allocation of finite funding and resources; at the strategic, corporate and
political levels.
Above all, this role is about Leadership, Communication and Collaboration. You are a respected
advisor to council, a collaborative partner with our many external stakeholders, a mentor to your
technical team and a leader who can demonstrate and inspire workplace culture and values.
