The Canmore Nordic Centre Provincial Park
(CNCPP) is looking for a motivated and skilled
Trails Specialist to join our service-oriented team.
Our work is an integral part of a world class, yearround recreational, high performance sporting
venue.
Reporting to the
Trails Supervisor, this
specialist supports
the ongoing operation
and maintenance of
the CNCPP’s trails
systems and equipment
maintenance as a key
member of the Trails
Program. Primary
responsibilities and
their associated tasks
include:
•TrailMaintenance
help monitor
and maintain all
designated trails
on a routine basis,
ensuring they meet
site and department
standards;
•Grooming–planand
implement the winter
grooming program
through operation
of snowcats and
snowmobile grooming
machines.
The successful
candidate has strong
interpersonal and client
service skills and has
experience operating a
wide range of equipment
and machinery (e.g.
mini-excavators, snow
grooming machines,
quads, snowmobiles,
skid-steer loaders,
tractors, etc.) and
possess a basic skill
level in mechanical
repair and carpentry
Qualifications:
•Thecompletionof
some high school
education and related
training plus 1 year of
related
•Experiencein
operating and
maintaining a wide
range of equipment
and machinery
•Experiencemaking
and grooming
machine-made snow
•Experiencewith
Nordic grooming
at International
CompetitiveEvents

Salary Range:

$1,719.23 - $2,084.04/
bi-weekly
($21.49-$26.05 per
hour)
*Additional $2.75 per
hour for evening shifts
3 pm - 11 pm; $5.00 per
hour for night shifts 11
pm - 7 am and $3.25
per hour for weekend
shifts.
Notes: This is a 40hour per week position
that is for evening,
overnight and weekend
shift work. Candidates
must hold a valid Class
5 Driver’s License.
