opportunites for you and yours to be in the spirit!
Christmas Party

ome and celebrate the Christmas and
New Year’s holidays with us!
We will host the annual Christmas Party on
Sunday, December 14 from noon until 3 p.m.
at the Knights of Columbus Hall in Ventura.
Members will be treated to a light lunch
with coffee and juice. Alcoholic beverages
and soft drinks will be available for
purchase at the bar.

The New Year’s Eve Gala Ball will be on
Wednesday, Dec. 31 at the Knights of Columbus
Hall at 36 S. Figueroa St. in Ventura. Please
check out the details that are listed on the left of
this page and on the inside back cover. We are
looking forward to seeing you and celebrating
with you!
We will not be having a children’s play
nor St. Nicholas; however, we will be
experiencing the joy of the season by
singing familiar Christmas carols in English
and German.

I also want to take a moment to thank EVERYONE who
has a hand in the success of our monthly dances like this
one. It takes a lot of people behind the scenes and some
in front to put this together for our mutual enjoyment.
There are those who plan, those who purchase the
supplies and food, those who prepare and serve the
food, those who decorate the hall, those who take care of
admission, those who do the raffle, those who clean up
and those who do everything in between.
I also thank YOU for supporting the Ventura Rheinland
Club. We are always happy to see familiar and new faces,
because when we come together for whatever reason we
have a great time and make more treasured memories
together! I wish you all health and happiness as we
continue to come together and enjoy good times and
good fellowship!
The annual Christmas Party is scheduled for Sunday,
Dec. 14 from noon to 3 p.m. The children are all grown
so there won’t be a Saint Nicholas nor Santa Claus;
however, we will still celebrate this important holiday
with food, songs and merriment! All we ask is that your
bring your favorite sweets to share.
Rosario Schmieder will be hosting the Ladybug’s
Christmas Party and Ornament Exchange on Tuesday,
Dec. 16 at 12:30 p.m. at 99 N. San Mateo Ave. in Ventura.
Call Rosario to reserve your seat at (805) 647-1754 and
bring a brand new ornament.
We are also looking forward to seeing you at our next
dance...the New Year’s Eve Gala! Don’t forget to send
in your reservations by Saturday, Dec. 20. The form is
located in this bulletin.

Annual Membership Dues are Due January 1
M
embership definitely has its privileges and its
savings!
As a member, you save $2 off admission at all dances and
at the July Picnic and $10 off the New Year’s Eve Gala
Ball; you get a FREE luncheon at the Annual Meeting
in June and at the Christmas Party in December and
you get a monthly bulletin to keep up with Club events
and our members. When you add it all up...it equals to
almost $100 per person!
Annual Membership Dues are due Jan. 1, 2015 and are
late and will be assessed a late fee starting Feb. 1, 2015.
Dues are $25 per person or $40 per couple. In addition,
2014 - 15 Board of Directors
if your membership lapses, you will have to pay a $10
reinstatement fee on top of the dues.
New members should contact Roland Anderson,
Membership Director, at (661) 255-6100 for more
information.
Membership dues will only be accepted in the form
of checks or money orders made out to the Ventura
Rheinland Club for the appropriate amount and sent to
the Ventura Rheinland Club at PO Box 5969, Oxnard,
CA 93036. Board members cannot accept dues, and no
cash payments will be accepted at any event.
