LTD G4S PUBLIC SAFETY STAFF
Issue 335
The EPD Officer indicated that while talking
to the suspect on the phone, they heard
bus sounds in the background. Uhler and
Baker, using keen investigative and analytical
skills, ascertained that the suspect was
trespassing on a particular bus. LTD Field
Supervisor Josh Schmit acquired a video
from the bus, and the suspect was positively
identified as someone who had been
excluded from riding on LTD.
This year we collected more than 5,000
pounds of food. Local Marines also were on
the scene and picked up many new toys for
their annual Toys for Tots event.
Thanks again for helping us fill a 40-foot
LTD bus so that Food For Lane County and
Toys for Tots can support members of our
community who find themselves in need.
On September 18, 2014, the Eugene Police
Department (EPD) requested assistance
from LTD’s Public Safety Department on a
criminal investigation.
Lieutenant Todd Uhler and Administrative
Assistant Kari Baker helped the police
identify a suspect, which led to his arrest.
Uhler issued an LTD citation, and based on
that citation, the Eugene Police arrested the
suspect on trespassing charges. During the
subsequent interview, the EPD Investigator
was able to gain enough information to
charge the suspect and put him in jail.
For this outstanding effort, Uhler and Baker
received a commendation from the National
President of G4S Secure Solutions.
Kudos to Kari and Todd for their excellent
investigative, crime fighting skills.

Lane Transit District is a proud sponsor
of the Egan Warming Center program.
Providing hundreds of free rides to and
from the Egan Warming Center sites
each night the centers are activated, LTD
is supporting our community’s effort to
ensure that no one sleeps outside on
freezing nights. LTD has partnered with
St. Vincent DePaul since the program’s
inception in 2008.
Individuals seeking transportation to an
Egan Warming Center site may simply
request a ride from any bus driver.
Ride tickets are provided to all participants
the following morning. LTD Customer
Service Center staff may be contacted at
541-687-5555 for information regarding
activation of the Egan sites or visit the
Egan Warming Center website for the latest
information at eganwarmingcenter.com.
The Egan Warming Center program is
always looking for volunteers; check the
website for dates and times of the next
volunteer training sessions!

LTD is prepared for inclement
weather; the safety of our customers
is paramount in planning and
implementing LTD Snow Service.
Each winter, LTD makes route and schedule adjustments to improve service.
CHRISTMAS EVE
The last departure from the Eugene
Station will be at 7:45 p.m. on
Wednesday, December 24.
Up-to-the-minute LTD Snow Service info
will be available on Twitter.
Ltd.org will be updated hourly.
Local news media also will be kept
informed. Listen to the following radio
stations for updates:

When winter weather hits, LTD will evaluate
how far a bus can safely travel and will
make every attempt to serve as much of
each route as possible. Bus routes that may
be on detours will return to regular routing
as soon as weather permits.

symbol in the Rider’s Digest
to see which routes may be
delayed or detoured when
the roads become slippery.
These adjustments reflect suggestions from customers and employees, as well as corrections
to the 2014 Rider’s Digest. Below is a list of the routes and a summary of the service
adjustments that become effective on Sunday, February 1, 2015. Routes and times that have
not changed have not been listed. Beginning on Monday, January 27, you can print out the
most current timetable by visiting the LTD website at ltd.org. You also can stop by LTD
Customer Service Center at the Eugene Station and request a printout of the timetables or a
Winter Digest Update.

43 WEST 11TH/BARGER
The 6:00 a.m. and 6:38 a.m. trips from
Pavilion Station will begin one minute
earlier on weekdays. The 6:57 a.m. trip
from Pavilion Station will begin one minute
earlier on Saturdays.
Service along Minnesota, Cody, and Ohio
will be eliminated. New routing along
Barger to Green Hill Road will begin.
Times and stops along the route have been
adjusted accordingly to improve service.

The trip departing from 18th at Mistletoe at
3:36 p.m. will now depart at 3:40 p.m.
An additional 3:00 p.m. trip departing
the River Road Station has been added.
