HAPPY NEW YEAR!
PRIVATE KINDERGARTEN
All of us at StarChild Academy would
like to wish you and your family a
happy, healthy, and prosperous New
Year. StarChild Academy will closing
early December 31st at 4:00pm. Thursday, January 1, StarChild Acadmey will
be closed in order to give our staff an
opportunity to enjoy the New Year’s
holiday.
Applications for StarChild Academy’s 2015-2016 Kindergarten
program will be accepted during the months of January and
February. For more information about this program, please see one
of us at the front desk.
RONALD MCDONALD HOUSE
StarChild Academy and the Ronald
McDonald House would like to thank all
of those who participated in this year’s
donations! Our drive was a great success thanks to your generous contributions. StarChild Academy’s 2nd, 3rd and
4th graders delivered a bus full of supplies. They received a tour of the facility
and were able to see how their donations benefited others.
PARENT’S NIGHT OUT
This month’s Parent’s Night Out program will be on Friday, January 2.
We will have pizza and movies for the
children. The price is $20 per child. Parent’s night out is held normally on the
first Friday of every month except on
holiday weekends when it is held on the
following Friday. Space is limited and
reservations are required. If you sign up
and can not attend please notify the
front desk by noon on Friday to avoid
having your account charged.
ELEMENTARY SCHOOLS
Orange County schools will be closed on January 1 through 2 for
Winter Break, Friday, January 16 for a teacher work day and
Monday, January 19 for Martin Luther King, Jr. Day.
StarChild Academy will be providing full-day care, including funfilled field trips, for school-age children on these days off from
school. Details will be posted at: www.StarChildAcademy.com
SCHOOL TRANSPORTATION
If your child will be absent from our after-school program on any
particular day, please notify us in advance to avoid a telephone call
to let you know that your child is unexpectedly missing.
JANUARY CURRICULUM
During the month of January, StarChild Academy’s Infant theme will
be centered around the letters Nn-Qq and the numbers 17-20. Our
Toddler and Preschool classes will be studying the “Rain Forest”.
They will focus on the letters Kk and Ll, counting 1-15, and number
concepts 8-9. Our Pre K 3 classrooms will explore “Transportation”
and the numerous ways that people get from place to place. Our –
K4 classrooms will learn about “Perseverance” and the concept of
“sticking to it”.

Thanks to Federal tax rules, your family
may be eligible for a credit on your income taxes for child care expenses.
Your accountant can provide you with
the details. Summaries of your family’s
payments to StarChild Academy will be
available at the Front Desk.
