The Certificate programmes in Professional Media and Creative Arts
Studies offer students the opportunity to study in the areas of Film/
Video Production, Multimedia Production and Broadcast Journalism.
The programme provides the technical expertise for the student to get
a foothold or advance in their career in the highly competitive media
industry.
Students are offered the opportunity to develop various skills through
practical classes and production projects, besides providing intensive
theoretical instructions.
LocaPROFESSIONAL EMPHASIS OPTIONS
Candidates have the option of specializing in one of

The Certificate programmes, which comprise both practical and
theoretical work, are structured into two modules over a period of 26
weeks.
First Module: 16 weeks (14 weeks of teaching [Friday,
Saturday and Sunday] and 2 weeks of Production)
Second Module: 10 weeks of Internship
Candidates for the Certificate programmes must complete a minimum
of 60 credits of required and approved elective classroom work and a
project, in line with NABPTEX requirements.
ADMISSION
REQUIREMENTS
1.
1. Minimum Qualification: BECE.
2. Mature Students: Applicants aged 25 and above whose qualifications do not meet
the regular requirements for admission into tertiary institutions as set by NAB
may be considered for admission on passing a special entrance examination and
interview conducted by the Institute.
3. People already in the media industry with two years working experience or those
with a passion for working in media related areas: Broadcast Journalism, Film and
Television Production, Multimedia Production may apply.
