CHALLENGE
SOLUTION
The Mobile Competence
Center (MCC) of the Dutch
Customs and Tax
Administration builds apps for
30,000 government workers
and citizens of Holland.
By creating apps with Xamarin,
the Dutch Tax Office was able
to dramatically increase
productivity.
The MCC was looking to
create an app to make it easier
for the Dutch Customs officials
to inspect and process goods
entering the Dutch and
European markets.
The goal was to reduce the
amount of manual work
involved and to have the
ability to access information
anytime and anywhere.

eliminated paper within the
office, allowing for more
inspections and a faster
release of goods.
The MCC, which has over
4,000 employees, can now
carry out more inspections as
it has more time than ever
before. Since the apps are all
native, data remains secure,
giving the MCC the safety it
needs to operate successfully.
