The much anticipated annual Day of Silent Reading will take place on Wed. January 28th.
Students who wish to attend may pick up passes in the library that must be signed by their
teachers for each hour they wish to attend. Passes will be available by the end of next
week.
Student Council is sponsoring an eyeglasses drive. Please bring in any eyeglasses that are
no longer needed to the box in Student Services. The drive ends January 16!
The Key Club will meet tomorrow morning at 7:00 in the gym. Join us and start 2015 off right by
discussing more ways to volunteer in our community.
Students interested in auditioning for the talented art, music, or theatre program, please
see Mrs. Weileman in guidance.
The Historical Film Society will meet tomorrow after school in room 411 to watch 13 Days,
a film about the Cuban Missile crisis. All are welcome to attend.
Any senior wishing to try out for the graduation commencement speech, please see Ms. Donewar in
Room 406 for more information. The deadline for submission of your speech is Friday, February 6.
Notarized permission slips for the Disney trip are due to Mrs. Simon no later than
Wednesday, January 14, along with a copy of the front and back of your health insurance
card. We will have notaries available for your convenience next Tuesday night from 5 – 7
in the front office hallway. The cost is $5. Your parent must be present to complete and
sign the permission slip.
The final Disney payment of $200 is due no later than Friday, January 30 to Mr. Esker in
Guidance. This is also the last day for drops and to request a refund for the trip.
Auditions for the Tyler Thomas Talent Show will be Wednesday, January 14th in the Choir
room right after school. The Talent Show will be February 3rd with a Mandatory Rehearsal
February 2nd.

The next Ethic Food and Culture Club meeting is Tuesday, January 13th. Mrs. Polley needs all members to
come by the library and let her know which lunch block you have this semester.
Junior Class ring orders will be taken today during lunch only. Also Senior Orders for caps & gowns and
graduation supplies will be taken today during lunch only. This will be your last opportunity to order before
the late order program begins.

The Spinnakers will be performing their Nationals Pom Routine at the basketball game
tonight. Come out and support the team before they head to state competition this
weekend.
There will be a Mu Alpha Theta meeting today after school in room 709. We will discuss
