Pamela Harding reported that about 2 months ago. she subscribed to a service for support for the computer. Today, she was
contacted and given the excuse that she was entitled to a rebate for the services. The caller then gave the individual all personal
information and since then this party has taken over her computer.
While I was speaking with the caller, the remote access on her computer was still connected and I observed the other party
attempting to access info. I cut the remote access and the person continued to request permission to connect. After a few
rejections, the subject then called. After having a discussion with the party and making him aware that law enforcement had been
contacted the male from the Philippines hung up. I gave the caller an ID theft packet and she had already contacted her bank
and other credit companies.
