Application Information
Wow! What a wonderfully unique educational experience our Academy students
receive! With nearly 300 K-12th grade students actively engaged in a culture
of high expectations and immersed in technology, our academy students are
unparalleled in academic achievements over the past six years. With our
exemplary administration, faculty and staff, our dedicated and involved parents,
and our magnificent and committed students, we are setting the standard for
exceptional schools.
MSA students continue to score near the top 1% on all state assessments,
rivaling the state’s most prestigious schools and giving public school students the
opportunity to receive a great education. I would like to personally invite you and
your potential Academy student to visit our new facility. Once you visit, you will
understand why MSA East is a true example of excellence in public education.
Hope to see you soon!

The application process begins in November. An application is sent to every household in
Iberville Parish via direct mail. Applications are also available at all Iberville Parish Public
Schools, the School Board Office, and the public library. Applications are accepted from
December to February 13, 2015. Once applications are received, the Administrative Assistant of
District Initiatives reviews all applications for accuracy. A letter is sent to parents stating that the
Academy has received your application, and a log is kept in the order of applications received. A
public lottery will be held on February 27, 2015 with results made available until November of the
same year. In November, the waiting list is void. Siblings and Gifted and Talented Arts students
are automatically accepted.
