General Information: There are rules and generally riding at Bom Bom and can
be ridden most times, if rules are followed. The main rule we ask is not to ride
tracks after substantial rain as bikes will damage tracks and cause
environmental damage. Most riders are aware of this condition. There are other
rules like not to litter and respect to the flora and fauna in the forest as an
example.
The rules are posted on the sign at the entrance to the Bom Bom tracks.

producers, and even get advice on best cooking methods.
The Grafton Farmers Market provides a great opportunity for Clarence Valley
farmers and fresh food producers to sell farm-origin and associated value-added
processed food products directly to local customers while giving you an
opportunity to talk directly to them about their produce and their farming
methods.

BWAC Yamba Golf & Country Club Ladies Pro Am 2015 will be held at the
Yamba Golf Club, River street Yamba. Thursday sees the event open with
competitors from around the world conducting a series of clinics before taking
part in a shootout with the winner taking home $1000 prize money. There will
also be several amateur women and men shootouts with the winner taking
home $500. Friday sees the start of the Pro Am at 7am when 50 professionals
will play with groups of amateurs around the idyllic Yamba Golf Club. Contact:

explorations across the protected rocky shoreline of Woody Head during the
Summer Holiday break and you’re all invited! With the falling tide the fascinating
hidden world of rock pools offers curious explorers the opportunity to investigate
the wonderfully weird array of plants and animals who face the daily challenges
of living in these extreme physical environments. Discovery rangers will lead the
exploration but children need to be accompanied by a supervising adult.

The migration and settlement of any large group in a new host country is complex. The complexity of the Chinese
diaspora in Australia can be seen in the distinctive and diverse Chinese Australians here. These categories are
often reduced in the popular imagination to a single Asian stereotype. The curatorial thesis argues that the different
and individual processes of acculturation have impacted in diverse ways on the work of Chinese Australian Artists.

This exhibition is a collaboration between Margaret and Fiona based on shared experiences. It comprises an
exploration of the impact of childhood experiences on the psyche. Both artists come from diverse and complex
families, cultural and religious backgrounds. Illustrations created reflect this complicated landscape.

The grounds have a large area of flat open space along Prince Street and plenty of parking for
potential customers as they enjoy a wander around which makes it a great social morning out

especially bromeliads, handmade jewellery, cakes, surfboards. Christmas trees and lights,
handcrafts, timber planters and timber animal cages / bird boxes and the Gem Club is open for
inspection. It's always a surprise what is available with different stallholders turning up each
month with their unique items.
As always there will be a sausage sizzle and cold drinks run by volunteers from the Show
Society that runs the Showgrounds.

daily challenges of living in these extreme physical environments. Discovery rangers will lead

Soapbox: In the soapbox class wheel sizes are a maximum of 300mm in diameter, some form of
steering and some form of braking, and
Open Class: Must have some form of braking and both classes must have a maximum 1.2m
wheel width, a maximum 2.1m wheel base and no dangerous protrusions. All carts must have 4
wheels.
All drivers must wear a motorcycle helmet, gloves, overalls or long sleeved shirt, long trousers
and closed in footwear.

Foodie Heaven comes to Yamba
The Gate to Plate - Regional Masters Exhibition promises to be a huge day for all foodies in
the Clarence Valley. The event is being organised by the Grafton Gallery Foundation as a fund
raiser for our Grafton Regional Gallery and sponsored by Clarence Valley Council.
This Event will be held at Treelands Drive Community Centre starting from 9.30 am
through to 9.30 pm.
3 Events in 1 Day! All showcasing Fine Food, beverages and art.
The Exhibition:
Filled with food, coffee, wine and beer exhibitors, where you will be able to meet, discuss,
taste and buy outstanding regional products. There is also a chance to see our very own local
chefs make a special dish in front of you and then have a taste and ask questions.

Come and listen, taste, watch, learn how and why our wild prawns and fish are the best. Learn
the best way to peel a prawn! What happens when a trawler heads out at the end of our
working day? Where do they go, what do they do? The Co-Op process, it’s product lines and
its future. All your questions will be answered by an experience commercial fisherman.
Meanwhile, Mary Drum of Caperberry Cafe, makes sea mullet sexy, fresh local cuttlefish and
our world famous Yamba king prawns sensational! You will be racing to the counter to stock
up. Learn what wine or beer completes the experience.

What happens when a cheese maker meets a goat farmer, the story of Nimbin Valley
Dairy?
We can’t promise a live goat but we can promise great cheese! Paul has just returned from an
educational in France, come and listen, taste a selection of cheese and learn what it takes to
make great cheese. Tasting will be married with Purelife sprouted bread, the healthiest and
tastiest option.
Did you know – a cheese lover is called a Turophile: Oenophile is what a Wine Lover is called;
usually they’re both the same.
12.30 – 1.15PM Class # 4
Aquaculture on the Clarence, the science of great seafood.
Tru Blu Prawn Farm and Palmers Island Mulloway team together to show and tell the story of
aquaculture on the Clarence River. These recognised masters will give insights into how great
seafood is grown, harvested and sold. Antony Perring of Irons and Craig, demonstrates
methods of using prawns to wow, you be the decider!
You are unlikely to have tasted fresh Mulloway the method Peter Nicholson will demonstrate.
Of course these dishes will be partnered with a crisp wine to boot!

Salumi Salami Australia, how fine artisan smallgoods are made, stored and enjoyed.
Meet the maker, listen, taste and learn how Australia’s greatest artisan smallgoods are made.
Taste and smell the history, technique and passion of cured meats. This class is bound to be
full of flavours, textures and aromas to enjoy with bread and wine. What could be better! Just
imagine what wine or beer goes with these little lovelies!
2.30 – 3.15PM Class # 6
Cassino Meats with Atron Enterprises: Grass fed and loved, this is our beef.
How is that great steak produced? What breed is it? Genetics, how do they fit in? Identify cuts
of beef. It’s all about flavour! Come and meet the people who grow beef, listen to the stories of
cattle in the Northern Rivers. While we listen Antony Perring of Irons and Craig will
demonstrate a carpaccio and a beer-braised brisket, paired with little sips to keep us focused
on what makes great beef.

Stone and Wood: Let’s just brew the best.
Come and hear the story of Stone and Wood. We will taste of all their beers and ales. Learn
how to present a great beer and what to eat with which beer. Listen to the finer techniques of

Lower Clarence Rowing Club, located near Ferry Park at Maclean, will be conducting a learn
to row course.
The course will be conducted over eight Saturday mornings sessions, each session
approximately an hour and a half long and beginning at 8.30am.
The objective of the program is to teach basic rowing skills and boat handling techniques and
develop potential rowers from beginner stage to have sufficient rowing skills to join a Lower
Clarence rowing squad.
Rowing squad training is conducted under the supervision of qualified coaches during the
week.
Squad members are eligible to compete in regattas when they reach an acceptable standard of

rowing proficiency.
Course numbers will be limited to six, the cost of the program is $50.00, $15.00 of which covers
the cost of a recreational rowing membership for Rowing NSW.

Arts, Crafts Market and Demonstrations. The Clocktower Gallery will be holding an Arts,
Crafts Market and Demonstration Day at the Clarence River Visitor Information Centre, Corner
Spring Street and Pacific Highway, South Grafton. This will be held on the Veranda at the
Information Centre.
Starting at 9.00am and going to around 1.00pm.
There will be lots of Arts and Crafts, Wood Work, Leather Work and Home made goodies.
There will also be a Special Table for you to choose from. You will be able to enjoy

Accent Productions Presents Allies of War & The Concert Party - A Salute to Our Diggers!
Clarence Valley Orchestra & Chorus with Guest Artists Two Performances Only - 2:00pm &
7:00pm Sunday 19th April 2015.
After their inaugural and very successful An Afternoon at The Proms Concert at the Saraton in
October 2014, The Clarence Valley Orchestra & Chorus conducted by Greg Butcher performs
a tribute concert commemorating 100 Years since WW1. You will hear a special War
Requiem Allies of War written for orchestra and chorus by Australian Composer Greg
Butcher, in honour of the Volunteers who signed up for War Service during WW1 from the
Clarence Valley.
This performance will also commemorate 70 years since the end of WW2, with a tribute to the
entertainers of the Concert Parties who played an important role in entertaining the troops and
keeping up morale. A variety of musical medleys from the songs of Vera Lyn & Marlene
Dietrich to the big band sounds of Glen Miller and the Andrews Sisters to name a few.
A concert not to miss and a salute to all who have served in the Defence Forces.
