About GDN
The consortium of Dutch NGOs (CDN) consists of ZOA, Red een Kind, and Woord en Daad, and has been working in
Rakhine State since 2010. All three are international Christian NGO's.
Although the immediate reason for founding this consortium was the response to the cyclone Nargis in May 2008, the
participating members envisage a long-term commitment to maintain its presence in Myanmar.
CDN aims to provide relief and rehabilitation assistance and to build capacities of partner organisations in Myanmar. CDN
is currently implementing programs in four areas: in Rakhine State, South Shan State, Ayeyaruvady Region and Kayin
State (through a local partner).
Purpose of the position
The Project Manager will work mainlyl: in the WASH sector and will be assigned to design, assist and implement in
sustainable way and do supervision activities in Rakhine State, Coordinate with other stakeholders and with relevant
CDN Sittwe staffs.

Responsibilities will include:

Overall management of the project to achieve intended results;
Reporting to the dono(s) on contractual, financial and operational matters related to the project;
Providing support to and supervision of project personnel and sub-contractors;
Ensuring coordination with partner organizations ;
Managing the relationships with other stakeholders;
Assisting in budget preparations; and
Preparing progress reports.
Qualifications:

Significant experience in project management and project implementation;
At least 5 - 10 years experience in water supply and Rice Bank (Agronomist) for rural areas;
Demonstrated ability to manage teams of individuals with diverse areas of specialization and cultural
backgrounds;
A relevant university degree;
Superior writing skills in projects reports; and
Experience managing medium to large projects and administering budgets
Additional desirable assets

Good communication skills in English Oral and written.
Post graduate degree(s);
