THIS SUNDAY! FAMILY LIFE MEETING
Are there holes in our ministry to families at St Peter's? No doubt there are! We will be looking at the
practical needs of families, at the various stages of family life, to explore possible ways of improving
our support of family life both at home and at church. Two Sundays from now we will have a further
discussion on the spiritual development of our children and families. For this Sunday's meeting join us
after the service in the Gordon Room. Bring your concerns and ideas!
CATECHISM
This Sunday Chris will be speaking about Christian formation and our new parish catechism (teaching
program). You can get a preview of it online at onlinecatechism.wordpress.com. Paper copies will
also be available at church. And remember to check out our library for good books on a wide range
of topics!
CHRISTMAS TREE
This Sunday is the last Sunday of the Christmas season, so we will be taking down the tree. Anyone who
would like to help take off the decorations is welcome to help! Boxes for the decorations will be by the
tree.
RIDES FOR GLORIA
Gloria would be grateful for a ride to and from church each Sunday, so we would like to start a rota of
drivers. If you would be willing to be on a once-a-month rota, please inform the church office.

Sun., Jan 18 – Sun., Jan 25 – WEEK OF PRAYER FOR CHRISTIAN UNITY
Every year, the worldwide church devotes one week of prayer for Christian unity. By finding ways to
pray together during the week, we join with all people around the world who are praying, reflecting,
studying, and even eating and drinking together to celebrate and pray for Christian unity. For more
info: http://bit.ly/1AqjXBD.
Sun, Jan 25 – ECUMENICAL SERVICE OF WORSHIP
Hosted by the Notre-Dame-des-Neiges Parish. Every year, the Côte-des-Neiges Council of Churches
(St. Peter’s is a member) caps off the annual Week of Prayer for Christian Community by sponsoring an
ecumenical service of worship. This year’s theme is “Jesus said to her, ‘Give me a drink’” (John 4:7).
Service begins at 3:30pm; 5366 Côte-des-Neiges. Everyone welcome!
Sat., Feb 14 – SKATING/WALKING THE RIDEAU CANAL

prayers.
ENVELOPES
Envelopes for 2015 are available at the back of the church. As automatic debit greatly assists our
administration, we would encourage our members to move from envelopes to automatic debit if at all
possible. For more information, contact the office.
TAX RECEIPTS
Tax receipts for the 2014 will be available at the back of the church on January 25. Please help us
save on postage and pick yours up! A reminder that only contributions received at the office by
December 31, 2014 will be included in the receipts for 2014. All contributions, including back-dated
cheques, received in 2015 will be included in receipts for the year 2015.
