Personal Statement
I have strong front-end development and
design skills with a proactive work ethic and a
proven track record of working under pressure. I
am detail oriented and strive to elicit a strong
sense of professionalism and high standards of
those I work with. I aim for exceptional detail,
structured and clean code and adhere to using
proven UI patterns.
I am also very passionate about technology but
I believe in keeping design as simple as possible and using technology as a means to an end,
not an end to itself.
More recently, I have just completed my Master
in Creative Digital Media where I have specialised in Hybrid iOS Development and UX Design.
I designed, developed and documented an app
that allowed users to quickly and efficiently
respond to all of their social media notifications
from the one app.
I am constantly seeking ways of expanding my
knowledge about the web, learning new technologies and creating solutions to challenging
problems.
For my Master’s final project, I design and developed a hybrid iOS application. The app allowed users to
connect to their Facebook, Twitter and Instagram accounts and allow them to view and respond to all of
their notifications more quickly and efficiently. My workflow for this project consisted of:
- Conducting thorough research into the target market.
- Developing a plan for a Minimum Viable Product.
- Developing a brand identity.
- Using agile wireframing and prototyping tools.
- Developing the front-end using the Ratchet mobile framework.
- Querying REST APIs and authenticating with OAuth2 and OAuth1.
- Working with several different CSS, Javascript libraries and Phonegap plugins.
- Using Phonegap to deploy app onto device.
- User testing using Testflight.
- Analysing results and research.

In Tapadoo, having replaced their lead UX designer, I was responsible for all UX development. My responsibilities included:

Whilst studying for my Masters degree, I gained experience by working as a freelance web designer. My
workflow consisted of:
