• Uphold the standards of discipline as written in the student handbook

SAINT VIATOR HIGH SCHOOL
2015-2106 SCHOLARSHIP AND GRANT PROGRAM
The Clerics of St. Viator founded Saint Viator High
School to meet the educational and spiritual needs of
young people from diverse socio-economic backgrounds.
To ensure that this mission remains accessible to as
many students as possible, the Scholarship & Grant
Program was established to provide financial support
to families with the desire to be part of the Viatorian
tradition. Through the generosity of our founding and
sponsoring community, the Clerics of St. Viator, our
alumni, parents, friends and benefactors, this program
has grown significantly over the years and continues
to be a priority for the Board of Trustees and the
Advancement Office.
Over $1.4 million in financial support has been awarded
this past year to 30% of our student population, with
some students receiving up to half tuition in scholarships and grants. Scholarships and grants are awarded
to qualified students on the basis of financial needs.
To qualify for the Scholarship & Grant Program, each
family must complete the Student Aid Form and submit
it to PSAS by March 1, 2015. Each family must also
complete the Saint Viator High School Application for
Scholarships & Grant and submit it to Saint Viator by
March 1, 2015. Families must reapply every year to
be considered for assistance.
If unexpected financial difficulties arise once the school
year begins, Saint Viator offers Special Circumstances
grants for emergency tuition assistance. If aid becomes
necessary, families may contact the President at
any time after the start of the school year to discuss
their situation.
Please note: The Illinois High School Association
has determined that no athletic scholarships are
to be awarded at any high school in Illinois.
Saint Viator High School strictly adheres to the
rules and regulations of the IHSA.
CORPORATE WORK STUDY PROGRAM
Saint Viator is thrilled to announce a new program aimed at making tuition affordable to more students. The
new Corporate Work Study Program (CWSP) will place students in entry-level summer jobs at local
corporations, many run by Saint Viator parents or alumni.
Students will work 35-40 hours a week for six weeks in positions like data entry and reception, earning up to
$3,000 toward tuition. As students receive invaluable work experience for their college resumes, businesses
will direct this stipend to their tuition accounts. In addition, students will learn to build relationships with
professionals and immerse themselves in the local business community.
There will be a limited number of CWSP jobs. Student selection will be based on maturity level and financial
need, with priority given to students who need more than a half tuition scholarship to attend Saint Viator.
SAINT VIATOR HIGH SCHOOL
Saint Viator High School is honored to be named a 2014 National Blue
Ribbon School by the U.S. Department of Education. This is the second
consecutive Blue Ribbon Award for Saint Viator; the school received this
prestigious award for the first time in 2008.
