Blessed Teresa of Calcutta
Parish Mission Statement
The Roman Catholic Family of Blessed Teresa of
Calcutta Parish recognizes the importance of following in the footsteps of our patroness in sharing
our time, talent and treasure. Through ordinary and
simple actions, we strive to teach and spread the
Catholic faith, leading all to know God in a personal
and loving way. In the celebration of the Eucharist,
the parish community receives energy to care for the
needs of all people through acts of kindness and love.
2ND SUNDAY IN ORDINARY TIME
Parishioners,
Our readings today reinforce the voice of God calling
men to a religious vocation. Our first reading gives us
the genuine response of a young Samuel who hears
something, but doesn’t immediately realize that it is the
voice of God. This is a common response from one who
first hears God’s voice. Our Gospel gives us the
wonderful example of Andrew bringing his brother,
Simon (Peter) to respond to the voice of Jesus in their
lives. May we pray that young men in our parish will
hear the familiar voice of the Lord and respond to it.

have many, many young people who have consecrated
their lives to serve Christ and it has been a wonderful
gift of God to the whole world that through this work,
the rich and the poor have come to know each other, to
love each other and to share the joy of living by putting
their love, their understanding love, into living action.

Monthly Themes – January
The Meaning of Human Sexuality
The tangible, earthly, corporeal world is more than inert
matter or modeling clay for the human will. Creation is
sacred. It has sacramental meaning. It reflects God’s
glory. That includes our bodies. Our sexuality has the
power to procreate, and shares in the dignity of being
created in the image of God. We need to live
accordingly.
The Blessed Teresa of Calcutta Council #15456 of the
Knights of Columbus will once again partner with St.
Eleanor and Visitation B.V.M Parishes this year to
reserve a bus to travel to the March for Life on
Thursday, January 22nd, on the National Mall in
Washington, DC. The cost is $20.00 for adults and
$15.00 for students under 16 years old, and seats are
limited. To reserve your seat on a first come first served
basis, please make your check payable to "Knights of
Columbus BTC Council #15456," and drop it off at the
Parish Office in an envelope marked "March for Life"
along with the names of the persons attending. Please
contact Ricardo Núñez at [email protected] if
you have questions about the trip.
SAINT ALOYSIUS CEMETERY
Family and Friends of those interned in Saint Aloysius
Cemetery, be so advised that no Memorial, Monument,
or Headstone company or its agents have any exclusive
contract with Saint Aloysius Parish. It has come to our
attention that someone or company(s) may contact you
and represent themselves as agents of Saint Aloysius
Parish. This is not the case. Please use vendors of your
choosing and shop wisely. Please contact the Saint
Aloysius Cemetery Office at (610) 326-5877 with any
questions. Do be advised that all work in Saint Aloysius
Cemeteries requires prior approval and authorization by
the Cemetery Office this includes and is not limited to an
application, sketches and other supporting documents.
The Knights of Columbus basketball Free Throw
Championship will be held on Sunday, February 1st in
the Education Center gym between 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM.
This event is open to ALL boys and girls between the
ages of 9-14 years of age. This is a free event. Please
bring the kids out to try some free throws. Winners of
each boys and girls age group will advance to the
District competition which will be held at Pope John
Paul II High School in Royersford.
All Flowers must be removed from the cemetery in
preparation for Easter by Sunday, March 1st. Any
flowers not removed are subject to removal by our
cemetery crew.
The Knights of Columbus Blessed Teresa of Calcutta
Council 15456 would like to thank all parishioners who
supported the Keep Christ in Christmas campaign. The
proceeds of this campaign will help support parish and
community activities in many ways. Thank You.
PIGRIMAGE TO CENTRAL EUROPE
