The program, which is free and open to the public, is part of the College’s Academic Enrichment Culture Series (ACES) programming. Michael Hewlett, Courts and Legal Affairs Reporter with the Winston-Salem Journal in Winston-Salem, NC; Allen Johnson, Editorial Page Editor at the News & Record in Greensboro, NC; and Wanda Starke, a news anchor for WXII-12 News in Winston-Salem, NC, will participate in a panel discussion inspired by the observance of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.’s birthday. Keonte Coleman, an assistant professor in the Bennett College Journalism and Media Studies Department, will moderate the discussion of topics including immigration rights, marriage equality, and racial profiling.
