COURSE DESCRIPTION:
“Managing Emergencies Outside of the Emergency Room” is a day-long course
intended for Primary Care Physicians, Physician’s Assistants and Nurse Practitioners
wanting to enhance their clinical skills with regard to the care of patients who
present to an ambulatory setting with emergent or urgent conditions. This course
will also assist practitioners with preparing your site for common emergencies,
discuss tools and techniques for determining when to send patients to the
emergency department, and discuss techniques for dealing with an
active shooter or psychotic patient situation.
