The NYPD appreciation Shalosh seudos was a huge success thanks to the
close to 300 people who attended with singing and dancing
ROSH CHODESH SHIUR FOR WOMEN-CHANGE OF DATE
The next Shiur will take place on Monday night January 26th at 8 PM on the
topic of "Tu b'Shevat: Lessons From a Tree." You can sponsor this class in
honor or in memory of someone. For more info please contact the office.
CONTINUE THE UNITY
February 8th at 3 PM, join the Young Israel along with many other congregations
as they welcome Rachelle Fraenkel, Bat Galim Shaer and Iris Yifrach, the
bereaved mothers of Naftali, Gilad and Eyal Zichronam L’vracha. The event will

DAVENING AND SHIURIM
In honor of Shabbat Mevorchim Shvat, there will be a Carlebach minyan Friday evening in
the Beit Midrash following mincha. All are invited for joyous, enthusiastic singing and
dancing with much kavanah.
Rabbi Lehrfield is giving a Gemara Shiur every other Sunday at 9:45 AM or after the 9
o’clock minyan in the gym. We are looking for $72 sponsors for these classes.
There is a Mishna Brurah learning group every night at 9:15pm for 15 minutes prior to

A Course on “Tefillah”, based on the teachings of Rabbi Joseph B. Soloveitchik, will be
given by Norman Linzer on alternate Tuesday mornings at 10:00 AM in the main shul. It
will alternate with Tuesday class given by Rabbi Lehrfield. Women and men are welcome
A NEW YEAR, A NEW LOOK!!
We are excited to introduce the launch of Digizman in our shul! You can now list
all your Birthdays, Anniversaries, Mazal Tov’s etc., on our digital Luach located
in the lobby of the main shul. We will also have a special section that allows for

FAMILY LEARNING PROGRAM
Start your week in a most productive and enjoyable way. All parents,
grandparents are invited to learn and study with their children and grandchildren.
Please join us this Sunday morning at 9:45am in the upstairs Beit Medrash.
Young men from Rabbi Katzman’s yeshivah will join us to answer questions or
to be your chavruta, study partner. Refreshments will be served. Please contact

FIRE SAFETY CLASS
Join us at the JCC on February 3rd at 7 PM and learn how your family can be

YESHIVAS ZICHRON PALTIEL CHOFETZ CHAIM MELAVE MALKA
Please join the yeshivah as they honor Fran & Joe Harris- one of the original
founders of this community and Cheryl & Irwin Keller who have dedicated 32
years of service to our community. The Melave Malka will be at the Young Israel

We are looking for sponsors for our weekly Shalosh Seudot. Your sponsorship
allows close to 60 of our youth to have a meaningful Shalosh Seudot experience
every Shabbos afternoon, complete with great nosh, Divrei Torah and singing.

DRIVER EDUCUATION CLASS
The first lecture class meeting for the Spring Driver Education course will take
place Monday, February 9th, 2015 at 7 PM in the Teen Lounge. If you are

This week’s Young Married’s mens Chaburah will be with Rav Polakoff on
Wednesday, January 21st. The Chaburah will take place at the home of Alyssa &
Jesse Slater (404 Harold St.) at 8:30
The next Young Married’s Minyan will be on Shabbos, January 31st, Parshas
Beshalach at 9:30 in the teen lounge. Following davening, there will be a hot
kiddush.
